These are uncertain times for so many people, and we get that. “We’re trying to pursue a ‘both/and’ approach – to find out how we can support our literal neighbours, whilst also thinking of those further away who need our help more than ever. I work with both organisations, I have been in contact with them throughout the COVID pandemic, they’re doing amazing work supporting vulnerable people, but it’s really hard right now. “I recorded this song after a conversation with my dear friend Jason Sudeikis, as I’ve been scoring his unreleased television show, Ted Lasso. It may still end up in the show, but we’ve had it up our sleeve for a couple of months. The Anfield Wrap: Liverpool Make It Three On The Bounce But Points To Ponder

A game defined by moments, by three points and by Liverpool having more to work on is discussed on The Anfield Wrap. There was first half assurance from Liverpool but Brighton came into the game in the second half, leading Jürgen Klopp to be slightly critical of his side and their performance after the game. The front three again never quite fired but the centre back partnership of Joe Gomez and Virgil van Dijk continues to impress Dissecting those moments and those performances are Steve Graves, Adam Smith and Glenn Price. The Anfield Wrap: Can Liverpool Get A Lightning Start To 18/19?

This week's Anfield Wrap takes stock of where Liverpool are at this stage of the preseason.  They have bounced through the American tour and enjoyed themselves as they go about their business. Both Sadio Mane and Mo Salah have returned from their summers looking sharp. Daniel Sturridge is still grabbing people's attention and Xherdan Shaqiri did very well on his first start. Citytalk: Liverpool In The USA

Liverpool's preseason continues apace and now the first game is very much on the horizon. Liverpool face West Ham in less than three weeks. The Anfield Wrap takes stock on Citytalk this week about where those preparations are up to. Both Mo Salah and Sadio Mane have returned to the fold and both looked very sharp against a young Manchester City. We have a clip from our interview with Jürgen Klopp. [That talk was fascinating is available in full through our subscription service.](https://www.theanfieldwrap.com/taw_subscribe.php) We also have the same with Andy Robertson, a man who now feels very much part of the furniture at Anfield even though he has really only emerged this year. We chat about Curtis Jones and Rafa Camacho both making strong claims for themselves being available in Liverpool's first team squad and we dwell on exactly how the United States has been for The Reds. The Anfield Wrap is hosted by Neil Atkinson and he is joined by Gareth Roberts, Craig Hannan and John Gibbons from a Detroit hotel room.

Well Neil is about to go away (which is real time means he has gone away) to the United States so there is a chat about that. Gig of the week is back, the banger is in there. Is It The End Of The Road For Klopp And Buvac?

An unconventional Anfield Wrap this week sees Neil Atkinson host a long long at the aftermath of the World Cup along with the realities of squad management that now confront Jurgen Klopp. What does an ideal Jurgen Klopp squad look like? Indeed, can such a thing be possible? The manager himself has changed his approach during his time at the club and looks set to continue that this season. He does so with his long time assistant Zeliko Buvac who will not be returning to Liverpool. Does this complicate things for Klopp? Is there any plan to replace him? We work through this with Melissa Reddy and Paul Hogan. We talk to Rory Smith about Russia 2018 and look ahead to the chaos of a Premier League season no one seems entirely prepared for. We have Matt Jones talking to us about Everton, their 22-0 win and Marco Silva taking stock of his squad. John Gibbons is very excited by the tour which is ahead of the club and The Anfield Wrap as well. It's a taster of a lot of what The Anfield Wrap looks to do on a regular basis, in association with Redsbet. There is a lot of talk of weekend journeys and subsequent hangovers as Dan, Adam Melia and Neil Atkinson have all been doing some travelling across the continent of Europe, one way or another. Stephanie Heneghan is almost patient about this. How marvellous.  What else? Rap beef getting out of hand is discussed as is Kylie Minogue in the event of her 50th birthday. Does anyone have a bad word to say about the Princess Of Pop? Dan Morgan gets a section all to himself.  There are eight great songs. And they are eight great songs as well. Here's the tracklist:  Soulwax - Essential 4  Pusha T -Santeria  Casisdead - Sugar Free  Kylie - Breathe  Dream Wife - Somebody  Tracyanne And Danny - 2006  Tirza - Gladly  Tom Zanetti - Candy

The Rider: Walking It Off

Adam Melia has climbed Snowden. I mean, it was always on the cards, wasn't it? Up Snowden and down dale. It's the culmination of all the walking. And perhaps a new beginning.  You want more? We have so much more. Steph Heneghan didn't like a tea out. That wasn't on the cards. But we are where we are. You have to make the best of these things.  They've measured another run incorrectly. What are they playing at? John Gibbons this time finds himself having over extended not underperformed.  And at the centre of it all Neil Atkinson tries to hold it together and somehow get us from song to song. There is more Wham than a 1984 Christmas Party. And we give it away.  Tracklisting:  Riton & Kah-Lo - Ginger  Charlotte Gainsbourg - Les Oxalis (Alan Braxe remix)  The Longcut - Arrows  Half Man Half Biscuit - Every Time A Bell Rings  Peggy Gou - Travelling Without Arriving  SALES - White Jeans  Azealia Banks - Anna Wintour  Nellie McKay - Small Day Tomorrow

Real Madrid v Liverpool: The Preview

Every week The Anfield Wrap takes a long look at Liverpool's weekend game and wonders about the approach from The Reds and their opponents. This week though we are looking ahead, imagining we are in the shoes of Jurgen Klopp and Zinedine Zidane and wondering what the pair will be contemplating before this Champions League Final. Klopp has fewer choices; his side plays in his image and he has been loathe to change set up through the season. Zidane has selection headaches but also has selection opportunities. This is a game which looks on paper to demonstrate the Review's consistent maxim that your greatest strengths can be your greatest weaknesses. We discuss that in the context of both sides set ups and focus on Modric and Kroos. Sean Rogers and Paul Cope join Neil Atkinson to be excited about everything in store for us on Saturday night. This show is out as a freebie due to The Anfield Wrap's year long partnership with Redsbet. Today their parent company Fansbet sees the launch of the initiative around Rail Seating they have worked on with Shrewsbury Town. Neil is joined by John Gibbons on discuss this. Fansbet can be found here and Redsbet's Liverpool specials for the final are available here.

The Anfield Wrap: Champions League Dreams

The Anfield Wrap starts to look ahead to the week of Liverpool's eighth European Cup Final filled with excitement, trepidation, joy. All the obvious stuff. We work through all the feelings and get into the facts - how good our opponents are, what this means to Liverpool, what can be expected from the game and how it will be approached. We also speak to the producer of the Mo Salah documentary screening this week on Channel 4\. Tony Pastor has years of experience of documenting the brilliance of footballers but he has had to pull this one about Salah together quickly. He lets us know how good it will be on Channel 4 at 10pm on Tuesday. Then we are back at it, back at The Reds and their brilliance. Can they punish any complacency from Real Madrid. Neil Atkinson hosts and is joined by Sanj Shetty, Dan Morgan and belatedly by Stu Wright. The Anfield Wrap is supported by Redsbet this year. The Anfield Wrap: Liverpool Stutter At Stamford Bridge

Liverpool crashed to defeat against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge and The Anfield Wrap in association with Redsbet are picking the bones out of that result and the wider knock on effects for Champions League qualification this season and beyond. In the end the game was decided by the only goal but Chelsea were able to keep Liverpool at bay. The Reds couldn't make their midfield break the lines and found themselves toiling. The context is everywhere - Liverpool were back from Rome while Chelsea had the week to prepare but Liverpool were thwarted on the pitch. The result also emphasised weakenesses in Liverpool's squad at every level and we have a conversation about Liverpool's likely transfer plans. The we is Melissa Reddy, Adam Smith, Philippa Smallwood and Stuart Wright, hosted by Neil Atkinson. The Anfield Wrap is supported by Redsbet, click here to set up an account.

Citytalk: The Eternal City, Liverpool And What Happens Next

Liverpool beat Roma in the first leg, but they finished the job on Wednesday. Daniel Austin and Fuad Hasan were both there and they describe what it was like to see Liverpool win in the Eternal City. Now we find ourselves off to Kiev with a small allocation and with a date against Real Madrid for the biggest prize in club football. What can be said about this Liverpool side which hasn't been already? We work though Wednesday and a season which could bear the biggest prize of them all. We also look ahead to Liverpool's game against Chelsea; a game The Reds could very much do with getting a result from. What - if any - room does the Liverpool manager have to manoeuvre? Can he ask his lads to go one more time? What a week it has been for Liverpool. What a season. And it isn't over yet.

The Anfield Wrap: The Biggest Of Weeks

The Anfield Wrap this week focusses on three main areas:  - Liverpool 0 Stoke City 0  - Steven Gerrard going to Glasgow Rangers  - Looking ahead to the Champions League Semi Final against AS Roma.  Stoke City was a frustrating affair defined by mistakes from the referee and Liverpool in front of goal. Liverpool's Unbeaten Streak Snuffed Out By Swans

Taff to take for Liverpool at Swansea as they ended their unbeaten run in South Wales. Was it a bad approach from Klopp and his players or more likely just "one of them"? Did anyone play well? Is it too easy to forget that Liverpool had chances at 0-0 to open the scoring? In general though these have been the games Liverpool have been struggling in. Is there something underlying in that? Neil Atkinson hosts as Ian Salmon, Andy Heaton and Rob Gutmann chat through the game and this show is in association with Redsbet.
