This week got off to a difficult start for Gordon. He was stuck on a runway in Edinburgh on Monday night rather than in the studio! It's the century! The BIG 100!!! There was no way this was going to be an episode to just pass you by! This week, Gordon broke the record for guests on The Evening Show - kicking it all off with Ricky Gervais, who was in to talk about his new Netflix smash, After Life! Following him, was Kelly Jones for a celebratory full album playback, as Gordon helped Stereophonics mark 20 years since the release of Performance & Cocktails. Comedy genius Romesh Ranganathan popped in to The Evening Show this week to talk Gordon through his new sitcom “The Reluctant Landlord”. A very lucky Gordon Smart went down to Abbey Road this week, to talk to Giles Martin about the 50th anniversary special release of The Beatles White Album. Giles’ father George worked on the original release, and 50 years later, Giles has painstakingly sorted through hours of original tapes to produce a fantastic collection of new mixes and unheard takes. Gordon chatted to him about the process, the myths and the legends! As well as highlights from this, you can expect a Classic Album from Blur!
