In this final episode of the I AM podcast series Jonny speaks to Osteopath of the year Feed Roscop who combines a passion to learn and his technical excellence with  an incredible gift to tap into energetic, electromagnetic field around and inside his patients. All of this allows him to assist people towards establishing deeply powerful foundations of wellness and wellbeing. During the conversation Fred explains what these foundations are and what they mean and he lays out how the osteopathic process of “find it, fix it and leave it alone” works and does it’s magic. What’s even more inspiring than this is hearing the possibilities that can actually arise from simply exploring and cleansing ourselves of the traumas, injuries, toxins and microorganisms that anchor themselves in our bodies and begin to decide our life for us. Fred’s message is clear; that when we begin functioning well on a microscopic and macroscopic levels we give ourselves a chance to connect to our own purpose and our own journey as well as the guidance we need to develop to execute it. We grow, evolve and tune into the creative forces of the universe and open to receiving the upgrades it is constantly offering us.Health and wellness suddenly take on much bigger meaning when you understand it from the depth that Fred can offer. It is a life changing and world changing message and opportunity and sounds to me to be exactly what we need right now. As is his business Aequil which provides solutions to finding, maintaining and creating foundations for wellbeing plus handling particular physiologists or complaints. The dynamised water, food supplements and patches are incredibly intelligent. And for holistic completeness Aequil also has a well-being platform providing support through affirmations and gong baths for bringing about the best in us. Purpose, guidance, living in the now, being fully present, love and our potential – it’s all up for discussion in this one. We hope you find it resonates and aids you in your own journeys somehow. Take care.

Jonny on… Sustainability From the Inside Out: How to Create a Better Future by Upgrading Oneself First

Today on I Am Jonny is chatting to the amazing Dr Shefali Tsabary, New York Times best-selling author and a clinical psychologist specialising in the integration of Western psychology and Eastern philosophy. She is an expert in family dynamics and personal development, teaching courses all around the globe. She emphasises the importance of recognising that children are not possessions and are separate individuals with their own expressions of life and intelligence. She encourages parents to focus on their own internal environment to create a safe and nurturing environment for their children. The conversation also delves into the concept of the inner child, which refers to the childhood needs that are not met and the effects of traumatic events that become embedded in us and skew our experience of the world. Reparenting our inner child allows us to heal and let go of old wounds and patterns of reactivity, creating space for greater involvement in life and greater clarity. The conversation also explores the disconnect between our idea of self and our true self and the belief systems that we construct to mend this rift but which end up perpetuating more and more fear and insecurity.Jonny would love to hear from you!If you have any questions that you’d like answered, please email hello@Iampodcast.co.uk or comment in the reviews section.Twitter: @JonnyWilkinsonInstagram: @jonnywilkinsonofficialFor quick access to all of Dr. Shefali’s Social Media platforms, please utilize the URL’s listed below:Facebook – https://www.facebook.com/doctorshefaliInstagram – https://www.instagram.com/doctorshefaliTikTok – https://www.tiktok.com/@doctorshefali YouTube – https://www.youtube.com/c/DrShefali

I Am... Dr. Shefali on Conscious Parenting and Our Inner Child

In todays prelude to the upcoming episode with Dr Shefali, Jonny explores self-discovery and health and wellbeing and how our devotion to them funds our performance, enriches our relationships and deepens our engagement and experience of life.Big questions in todays episode:- How can we recognize that our children are not ours, and why is it important to cultivate our internal environment to provide a safe and blossoming environment for our children?- What is the concept of the inner child, and how can we reparent our own inner child to let go of past traumas and wounds to open the door to greater clarity and the power to respond to life’s events according to the life we wish to live?- Why is it unrealistic and, in many ways, unhealthy to try to create the perfect child and deliver on a perfect upbringing?- What does developing a greater connection with our true selves mean?- How can we dissolve the fear and beliefs we hold that stand in our way of engaging in and experiencing more of life?Jonny would love to hear from you! Life is to be found in the unknown and so is the now. A willingness to engage with it and be present in it offers us a greater influence over the future.Today on I Am, Jonny shares the story of his late friend Steve Black, also known as Blackie. Blackie was a born and bred Geordie who had a relentless pursuit of greatness. He was honest, transparent, and completely motivated in all that he did. He was a successful coach in almost every professional sport with pretty much every team you could imagine, coaching individual athletes and succeeding everywhere he went. And to the realization that anything is possible. In this episode, Jonny shares the lessons he learned from Blackie and how he has been such an influence and guiding force in his journey.Big questions in today episode: What are the key ingredients for great performance and constant improvement? What if that voice in our minds supported us unconditionally, trusted in us absolutely and guided us to seek uncomfortable new space and to stand tall, embrace and explore it?Jonny would love to hear from you! Jonny on … Lessons of Possibility from Blackie

Learning to manage your mind is crucial to happiness and success - in sport and in life. All of us face challenges, rough patches and struggles in life and challenge is a core pillar of this podcast. Todays guest, bestselling author of the Chimp Paradox,  Professor Steve Peters discusses how we can look at challenge differently and reconstruct ourselves to find the opportunity, growth and engagement in it. He says, the one thing that has stood out to him in his years of supporting people as a Consultant Psychiatrist is that no matter what you may be facing in life, if you have the skills to be in a good place emotionally then you can cope, thrive and present the real you to the world.Steve has created a structured, practical self-development programme to help you attain psychological health and wellbeing. He talks us through it at length today, using Jonnys experience as examples, and draws from his exciting new book - The Path through the Jungle which transforms complex neuroscience into language and stories you can get your head around.Jonny would love to hear from you! Who we are does not have a mindset. Who we are is a mindset.Becoming more aware of our experience, our beliefs and opinions and is key because when we go into battle for them we are also fighting to stay as we are, to keep our mindset and preserve all the stress and the fear in us too.Big Questions in todays episode:- What are the conditions to change your mindset- Do we have conscious awareness of the conclusions or beliefs funding this?- Are we willing to unearth them and take back some responsibility for ourselves?- Has our idea of who we are become all we are?- How can we see through this self importance?- Can we define resilience as exploring deeper than we have ever been? What we are before and beyond our beliefs is the beginning of our real potential.  Jonny would love to hear from you! How does the financial system affect social and ecological sustainability as well as our individual potential? Jennifer Hinton is a systems researcher and activist in the field of sustainable economy. In todays episode, Jennifer uses systems thinking to walk Jonny through her work, which focuses on how societies relate to profit and how this relationship affects global challenges. She explains how key aspects of business and markets drive whole plethora of outcomes. Leading into discussions about the present set up that we operate through, and the realities of what a restructuring could look like, this conversation is a real eye opener! To keep up with Jennifer grab her on twitter: @HintojenHow on Earth: Flourishing in a Not For Profit World - https://arxiv.org/abs/1902.01398Jonny would love to hear from you! I Am… Jennifer Hinton on Our Relationship with Profit.

What power do we, as human beings, posses to completely transform ourselves, and our world around us? In today’s prelude to Thursday’s guest interview with systems researcher and ecological economist Jennifer Hinton, Jonny takes a dive into how our beliefs and values impact us, and our systems at large. What would a different future really cost?Big questions explored today:- What would it be like if society was all about bringing people together?- Can we create a more balanced and healthy, and well environment for ourselves and the planet we rely on? If so, how?  - What would this look like day to day?- What is enough?Jonny would love to hear from you! Jonny on… What is enough?

This week on I Am, Fearne Cotton, author, presenter, and podcaster, opens up about success and happiness; embracing vulnerability, learning from mistakes and finding balance in every aspect of life. She explains the power of working on ourselves has for our health, well-being and fulfilment and explores this through subject like criticism, imposter syndrome, appreciating others, making peace with where we have been and the journey towards uncovering purpose and passion. For Fearne it is important to find moments to indulge fully in the simple things - like going for a walk - and the profound effect this can have on our state of being. As ever, Fearne is open, funny, and unflinchingly honest about her world and herself and everything else too, and it makes for a brilliant episode. You can find more details on the upcoming happy place festival here: https://www.happyplaceofficial.co.uk/events/

I Am… Fearne Cotton on Living a Life Without Dread

We grow up believing that we can achieve and accumulate our way to happiness. The mind then becomes the master and keeps us stressed and separated from it.Today Jonny ponders what it means to follow your heart’s lead. Is it not through our passions that we find ourselves at our most spontaneous, inspired and connected? In order to enhance our sensitivity and express our most creative self, just like sport, dancing and the arts, we have to surrender control and truly trust. And that can be scary. Some big ideas:- How to detangle from our limits?- What happens when our thoughts and unpredictable emotions become our driving force?- Conceding whom we think we should be or need to be in favour of finding out who we are.- The power of patience- The simple joy in opening our minds and devoting ourselves to our highest excitement at any given moment- Getting out of our own way

Jonny on… The Pursuit of Happiness

New Podcast from Sam Warburton: CAPTAINS with special guest Chris Robshaw

Olympic champion and three-time world champion heptathlete, Jessica Ennis-Hill is one of Great Britain’s most successful athletes. Jess set some high bars for herself and cleared them all. Her Super Saturday gold medal winning show stopper during the 2012 London Olympics will live on in the minds of those whom saw it unfold. It was a moment that transcends sport and became a defining detail in the story of this immensely gifted heptathlete. But there is so much more to her and her success and I was privileged to be granted access to a lot of it.In today’s episode, Jess lets us in on her driving forces, her focused mindset, and her desire for balance. It’s an open, warm, and fascinating conversation.

I Am… Dame Jessica Ennis-Hill on Balancing Drive with Living in the Moment OR on Training in the Feeling Space

It is never actually about everything going perfectly. It is more to do with shaking loose everything that stands in the way of our self-worth and finding that feeling place. In today’s Tuesday episode Jonny remarks on how we often seem to find it so much easier and more comfortable to focus upon what we do not want to happen than it is to visualise our ideal outcomes. Taking on positive perspectives has almost become a means of distracting ourselves from the more justifiable, conventionally agreed (and therefore apparently more real) negative version. But what happens when we emotionally, mentally and physically align with what we want? What does it take? Can it be the secret to unlocking a totally different type of performance potential?Big questions in today's episode: - What does it mean to step out of our own way? - What are the different forces that drive us forward? - What happens when we are courageous enough to choose positive outcomes over old beliefs, fear, anger, and desperation? - How do we connect to our higher selves? - How do I do this when stuff is not happening as I want it to?

Jonny on… The Process of Connecting to our Higher Selves

Australian Union rugby player, James O'Connor joins Jonny this week to walk us through his learnings from his phenomenal and at times misunderstood career so far. One of the most talented players of his generation, he gives us an incredible insight into the highs and lows of his career. Having played stints in London, Manchester and Toulon before returning to Australia he has encountered challenging moments on and off the pitch to go with the amazing ones and is happy to open up about them. James talks about the immense importance of listening to his body and constantly seeking for his truth. Absolute willingness to accept and relax and the courage to stay true to passion and excitement plays a big part in this episode.

I Am... James O'Connor on Embracing Vulnerability as a Guide and Fuel

Throughout every one of the previous 3 podcast series, we have been pointing to how our power and our potential is not something we possess but it is actually just what we are. It is our source, not our goal. This is why the things we earn and win, that we are so convinced will make everything ok and resolve our deeper sense of insufficiency, never do. Jonny expands on this in today's Tuesday episode and what this looked like in his own life.Big Questions explored by Jonny today:- Can we find our highest passion and excitement even in the things we have to do that we don’t want to do?- If what we are after is already in what we are then why are we looking for it? Why don’t we already know it?- How can we be more receptive, and loosen fixed ideas?- How can we find fulfilment by liberating and expressing our creativity?

Jonny on... How to Find Fulfilment by Liberating and Expressing your Creativity

James Nestor is a journalist and author whose personal quest and discoveries into the world of breath work have the potential to transform our lives. His most recent book ‘Breathe’ looks deeply into this skill that we all possess and has been met with success all around the world. For Jonny, James’ personal quest and discoveries possess the power to change our lives if we are willing to remain open-minded about who we are and champion an indefatigable curiosity about life.

A worthy saying in performance is to focus on the basics and not to get bored of them. After all, it’s generally accepted that the team that has the basics locked down tends to come out on top - and those that skip the basics tend to find themselves coming unstuck and reactive further down the line.At the core of everything in life, according to Jonny, is how we are on the inside - here lies our worth, our gift and our potential. Without connecting to this source and consciously grounding ourselves in who we are, everything we do will feel like effort. It will lead to stress, fatigue and plateauing. How do we find our way inwards?Big questions in today’s episode include:- Why is breathing so important?- How can we work with our breathing to consciously return to relaxation in the presence of the fear?- How can harnessing our breathing help us grow?- How do we focus upon breathing? Can we become more aware of it?

I Am… Jason Fox on Finding Calm in the Face of Chaos

It is perhaps the biggest task anyone can take on – to stand and face our own unique challenges rather than go around blaming everything and taking it out on everyone else. Acceptance leads to responsibility, whereas resistance leads to reactivity. This path towards taking greater responsibility for ourselves forms the basis of this episode.Big questions in todays episode:- How can we be fully present and embrace the now?- What does it take to see through our knee jerk reactions and overcome our conditioning?- Can we say yes to this moment? Work with it rather than fight it? Can we explore the possibility of what it can be rather than attempt to control it back to what we believe it should have been?- Can I say yes to the unknown?- Can I surrender my fear and doubt, and in its place choose trust?*these questions are based off the question sent into our email hello@iampodcast.co.ukJonny can’t reply to them all, but they always inform his questions and own learning in the show.
