Tom Craine on 'Chester City: An American Dream': S04 E06

Back in the studio this week is Quickly Kevin regular Tom Craine as we take a look at Terry Smith's failed spell at Chester City in the late 90s. Deploying such tactics as 'regular 442 rules', appointing "three captains" and passing on half time advice such as "they keep putting it in the hole"; Terry (an American who came to the English football league via the NFL) had been accused of not knowing much about football. We took to a Chester City documentary to discover the truth. There's also an update on Man Utd's away hotel room pairings and an amazing new Eddie McGoldrick chant.Twitter: @quicklykevinFacebook: quicklykevinInstagram: quicklykevinEmail: hello@quicklykevinFor your chance to win an exclusive 'Graham Says: Hit Les' Quickly Kevin mug leave us a 90's Football based 'Review Haiku' on iTunes!!Thanks,Chris, Josh and Michael.  See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

Alastair Campbell on Burnley and footballing politicians: S04 E04

To live in the UK in the 90s was to ride the wave of Cool Britannia, as a newfound sense of pride and optimism swept across the nation. The soundtrack was Blur, Oasis and Three Lions; the football was King Kev at Newcastle, Euro 96 and a dominant United; and the politics were New Labour. It’s our pleasure to welcome to ‘Quickly Kevin, will he score?’ to talk Burnley and the relationship between football and politics – writer, broadcaster and former Downing Street Press Secretary - but most importantly, Burnley fan, Alastair Campbell.Twitter: @quicklykevinFacebook: quicklykevinInstagram: quicklykevinEmail: hello@quicklykevinFor your chance to win an exclusive 'Graham Says: Hit Les' Quickly Kevin mug leave us a 90's Football based 'Review Haiku' on iTunes!!Thanks,Chris, Josh and Michael.  See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

Tom Parry / 'They Think It's All Rovers' : S03 EP07

Quickly Kevin - S03 EP07 - Tom Parry / 'They Think It's All Rovers' Our guest this week is comedian, Wolves fan, and friend of the show, Tom Parry. For his second appearance on the show it’s a trademark ‘Quickly Kevin…’ watch along. This time round we dissect the unanimous winner of our listener chosen 90’s football documentary recommendation - 'They Think It's All Rover's'. Be warned, this film, charting Doncaster Rover's abysmal 1997/98 season as they fight against relegation from the football league whilst under the control of nefarious owners, makes the Sunderland 'Premier Passions' documentary look like a feel-good romp. We also have some ‘Frying with laughter’ updates about the big man himself, and we ponder, for far too long and too often, just exactly who, or WHAT, is spoon molester Uri Geller? And why did he make fleeting appearances at several lower league clubs during the 90's? Turn on. Tune in. Wenger out.For your chance to win an exclusive 'Graham Says: Hit Les' Quickly Kevin mug leave us a 90's Football based 'Review Haiku' oniTunes!!(Or if words aren't your bag, you can purchase one here for a limited time only... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/323228729164 ) Twitter: @quicklykevinFacebook: quicklykevinInstagram: quicklykevinEmail: hello@quicklykevin  ThanksChris, Josh and Michael.  See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

Pat Nevin: S03 EP06

Pat Nevin: S03 EP06 Our guest this week is a Chelsea, Everton and Tranmere legend.A man as comfortable writing music reviews for the NME, or enjoying a bowl of goulash whilst reading Kafka as he was evading a crunchingStuart Pearce tackle. It’s Scottish winger, indie DJ, and all round renaissance man, Pat Nevin. Plus we’ve got more ‘Frying with laughter’, a tall tale of Gazza hijacking a kids football match, and we explore the myth and merit of match day whip rounds. Can all that loose change really be used to buy a new striker? Probably not… Twitter: @quicklykevinFacebook: quicklykevinInstagram: quicklykevinEmail: hello@quicklykevin For your chance to win anexclusive 'Graham Says: Hit Les' Quickly Kevin mug leave us a 90's Football based 'Review Haiku' on iTunes!! ThanksChris, Josh and Michael.  See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

In this episode we dive headfirst into his beloved Swansea City A.F.C. in the 90s; The Vetch stadium on its last legs, a disastrous series of owners and managers seemingly determined to destroy the club and a cantankerous mascot hell bent on starting a fight at every opportunity. Plus we further explore Mark Hughes being good at volleys, share some Barry Fry anecdotes and pull some local radio stories out of the vault.Twitter: @quicklykevinFacebook: quicklykevinInstagram: quicklykevinEmail: hello@quicklykevinFor your chance to win an exclusive 'Graham Says: Hit Les' Quickly Kevin mug leave us a 90's Football based 'Review Haiku' on iTunes!!ThanksChris, Josh and Michael.  See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

'Sweeper!' by Steve Bruce with Ivo Graham - Part 1 of 2 : S03 E03

Quickly Kevin: S03 EP03 - 'Sweeper!' by Steve Bruce with Ivo Graham (Part 1 of 2)In a special double episode, it's the much anticipated return of comedian Ivo Graham to discuss the second book in Steve Bruce's literary canon, 'Sweeper!'.If you haven't already listened to the first appearance in Series 1 of 'Quickly Kevin...' we recommend you do that now, and for those of you who have, rest assured as old favourites the Jaguar XJ8, a questionable attitude to gender equality, and the trademark leaden prose all return.Along with some fascinating new ruminations on tripe, attacking full backs, and the most sexually charged dialogue since Bogart and Bacall first shared the screen, as Bruce's alter ego, football manager turned reluctant detective Steve Barnes, crosses paths with a gun toting femme-fatal in a clumsily plotted sequel we'll generously describe as barely comprehensible. All this and the usual correspondence, brand new features (because that's exactly what the show needs) and the end of episode 90's Football based quiz. Lee Dixon - S03 E02

Series 3 - Episode 2 - Lee DixonIn terms of value for money, there can be few more astute signings than the £375,000 George Graham paid Stoke City for Lee Dixon in January 1988. 25% of arguably the greatest 90s defence, Lee finished his Arsenal career with four league titles, three FA Cup winners medals, a UEFA Cup Winner's Cup medal and infamously a runners-up medal in the latter competition too.But it was the first of his league championship medals that intrigued us most; the night of 26th May 1989, Liverpool v Arsenal - a championship play off in the last game of the season. For a whole host of reasons, from Fever Pitch to the ramifications of the Hillsborough disaster, the 1988/89 season marked the end of football as it had largely been for 100 years. And in it's culmination, Michael Thomas' last minute winner didn't just cement the league for Arsenal, it also cemented the idea of live football as a major box office draw, with the dawn of the Premier League coming soon after. We put all of this to Lee. Plus... we speculate as to whether Sean Dyche eats worms.Twitter: @quicklykevinFacebook:quicklykevinInstagram: quicklykevinEmail: hello@quicklykevinFor your chance to win an exclusive 'Graham Says: Hit Les' Quickly Kevin mug leave us a 90's Football based 'Review Haiku' on iTunes!!Thanks,Chris, Josh and Michael.  See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

James Richardson / Football Italia - S03 E01

Series 3 begins with one of the central protagonists in the cast of 90's football; James Richardson. Synonymous with a golden period of Calcio, the sight of James holding aloft a pink paper on Football Italia was as regular an occurrence as a Baggio goal. We get the gossip on all the big topics; did Paul Ince ring James up for tips on Tomb Raider? What was Elvis Costello like? And did James ever have a night out with Gazza and Jimmy Five Bellies? We’ve also got big updates on both James Beattie’s Latin textbook and Lee Sharpe’s infamous fan club.Twitter: @quicklykevinFacebook:quicklykevinInstagram: quicklykevinEmail: hello@quicklykevinFor your chance to win an exclusive 'Graham Says: Hit Les' Quickly Kevin mug leave us a 90's Football based 'Review Haiku' on iTunes!!Thanks,Chris, Josh and Michael.  See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

The 'Quickly Kevin...' 90s Football Quiz - S02E11

It's back! Due to what we're generously calling 'mild public demand' series 2 draws to a close with the traditional final episode - the 'Quickly Kevin 90's Football Quiz' (Complete with trademark factual inaccuracies - please don't email or tweet us about them!) We also catch up with not the real John Wark's instagram and there's news of a Quickly Kevin live quiz night at Hackney Picturehouse in January, so come along to test your pointlessly niche 90's football knowledge and a chance to win a bundle of 90's Football goodies. Thanks for listening, and for all your amazing correspondence this series, keep them coming and we'll see you in 2018. Chris, Josh and Michael.   See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

Graeme Le Saux: S02E10

Our guest this week is one of the central characters of 90s English football; Chelsea, Blackburn and England's answer to the infamous 'left sided problem', Graeme Le Saux. Discerning broadsheet reader and noted 'clever footballer', Graeme's career was a 90s rollercoaster ride through triumph, success and controversy. From scoring England's 18th greatest goal to washing his own training kit at Blackburn; we do our best to cover it all.We also have a mid-90s child's perspective on Tony Adam's alcoholism via the medium of poetry, Jason McAteer's social media porn star flirtation and some curious player descriptions from a 1990 Panini sticker album  See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

Tom Craine discusses 'There's Only One Barry Fry': S02E09

Our guest this week is friend of the show, comedian and writer Tom Craine. The subject of discussion is the 1997 Peterborough documentary 'There's Only One Barry Fry'. The documentary features the fall and fall of Peterborough in their relegation season of 1996/97 against the backdrop of 'big personality' Barry Fry's new leadership as manager and, sort-of, chairman.Plus there's news on a John Wark fan club nowhere near Ipswich and the social media goings of Mark Kennedy.  See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

Matt Forde - England in the 90's: S02E08

Back for his second appearance is friend of the show, and 90s football expert, Matt Forde. This episode, we fire up the DeLorean and take a journey through England’s tournament defining games of the 90s; a decade of heroic defeats and just plain old-fashioned defeats. There’s also an update to our Gary Mabutt / Dulux dog investigation, and Josh and Chris go head to head in the 90's Football Quiz - this week 'The Price is Right' and transfer fees.  See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

USA 94 with Matt Lorenzo: S02E07

Our guest this week is the youngest anchor ever to host a World Cup on UK television; all round lovely man, West Ham fan and mid-nineties face of ITV, Matthew Lorenzo. Plus we catch up on developments regarding James Beattie’s Latin textbook, we finally hear from a member of the Lee Sharpe fan club and we find out what fire and brimstone Gavin Peacock has been letting off this week.  See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

James Acaster - Club For a Fiver: S02E06

Our guest this week is man who has been nominated for the Edinburgh Comedy Award a record breaking five times - star of Mock the Week, Live at the Apollo, Would I Lie to You and, more importantly, a former Manchester United fan, James Acaster. The subject of discussion for this episode is the documentary which made infamous its protagonist; angry Orient manager John Sitton. 22 years after Channel 4’s ’Club for a fiver’ was first aired, this week we give it a rewatch and try to figure out exactly what prompted John Sitton to utter the immortal words: “‘So you, you little c*** when I tell you to do something and you, you f****** big c*** - when I tell you to do something, do it. And if you f****** come back at me, we’ll have a f****** right sort out in here.”Meanwhile, there’s an update on Vegard Heggem’s salmon lodge and an interesting report from the 90s Aston Villa version of Stella Street.  See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

Mark Lawrenson: S02E05

Our guest this week did it all as a player; five league titles, one European cup, one FA cup, and three league cups, as part of one of the greatest Liverpool teams ever assembled. But it was with the BBC in the 90s that Mark Lawrenson came into his own as one of the most recognisable pundits of the embryonic Premier League; all while juggling a marketing gig for Guinness and the surely nightmarish role of Keegan's defensive coach in Newcastle's most attacking period. Plus, we find out what Gavin Peacock's been up to since he quit his own punditry career to become a Christian minister in Canada (no, really).  See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

Tom Parry - Wolves / Steve Bull : S02E04

Our guest this week is one third of our favourite comedy sketch troupe ‘Pappys’; it’s upper-body nudity enthusiast and massive Wolves fan, Tom Parry. The 90s were a period of medium resurgence for Wolves after a desperate period in the late 80s which saw them drop into the fourth tier of English football for the only time in their history. Spearheading that charge for Wolves was Tom Parry’s hero; Mr Steve Bull. We find out about Steve’s remarkable inclusion in the England squad for the 1990 World Cup, his inexplicable local newspaper column, and which deep-fried foodstuff Steve was seen carrying in inordinate amounts.  See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

Dermot Gallagher: S02E03

Our guest this week is a referee who officiated more than 1200 top level matches in his career, including the Premier League, Champions League, an F.A. Cup final and internationals, one of the most recognisable refs of his era: Dermot Gallagher. We also find out which 90s footballer runs a salmon farm, who’s flogging swimming pools in the south of France and Josh heads back to his piazza for more 90s football tittle-tattle.  See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

Darren Anderton: S02E02

Our guest this week is Spurs and England legend Darren Anderton. Scorer of a spectacular goal in the 1998 World Cup against Colombia, winner of the 1999 League cup - and almost (still hurts) the man who scored the golden goal winner against Germany in Euro 96. We also have some exclusive gossip about Nigel Pearson’s order in a hardware store, weird shirt sponsors, plus we join Josh in another Italian piazza as he unearths more massively out of date transfer gossip.  See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

Frank Skinner: S02E01

We’re back, we’re back… we’re finally back! This week we’re joined by a titan of 90s football; co-host of Fantasy Football, Perrier award winning stand-up comedian, lyricist of Three Lions and big West Brom fan, Frank Skinner. We cover all the main subjects; Bobby Gould as West Brom manager, England in the 90s, Euro 96, Three Lions and, of course, the show that put football fandom on the map: Fantasy Football. There’s massively outdated transfer gossip, plus we have all your correspondence, including updates on Saudi Arabia’s notorious 1989 U-16 squad and that small-footed man of mystery, Chris ‘The Bart Man’ Bart-Williams.  See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

The 'Quickly Kevin...' 90s Football Quiz - S01E12

As Series 1 slams to a close, we're delighted to be bringing you the first of what will eventually be a series ending tradition: The Quickly Kevin 90s football quiz. The team taking on Josh and Chris for 'the ashes of 90s football' (a burnt packet of football stickers) are friends of the show; want-away Aston Villa fan and comedian Tom Craine and Wales and Swansea's favourite funny son Ellis James. Through a range of incredibly niche questions, two teams battle for the ultimate prize; some pogs, a mug adorned with the face of a QKWHS icon and bragging rights that should see the winners through the summer. We'll be taking a break after this, but don't forget to stay in touch by signing up to our mailing list at: QuicklyKevin.com See you soon!  See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

Iain Dowie: S01E11

There a few 90s football faces more recognisable than our guest this week; a rare breed of clever footballer, the one and only Iain Dowie. On this show, we walk through Iain’s career, navigating the obvious points (Luton’s shirt sponsors) as well as visiting Iain’s former career in missile engineering. Plus, we discuss the notorious night in Stockport when Iain scored one of the greatest own goals ever scored, then broke his leg, all while Florin Răducioiu got some shopping done at Harvey Nicholls with the missus. We also have an update into one of the hottest current topics in 90s football: the rumour surrounding Chris Bart Williams small feet. As well as pondering what might have been if Newcastle United had signed George Weah instead of advertising hoarding hater, Temur Ketsbaia. As always, to get in touch with the show and keep up to date on all the latest news…. Matt Forde on 90's Nottingham Forest: S01E10

On the show this week we’ve got comedian and broadcaster, and Nottingham’s own(!), Matt Forde to dissect the fortunes of Nottingham Forest in the 90s. When you think about Forest in the 90s, all the big names echo through the sands of time; Brian and Nigel Clough, Frank Clark, Ian Woan, Steve Stone, Andrea Silenzi, Stuart Pearce, Stan Collymore and Bryan Roy - the list goes on and on. But the one big name ever-present at both the City Ground and the training ground throughout the 90s turns out to be… Matt Forde. Through Matt’s eyes we take a nostalgic tour from Brian Clough in the changing room, to punching Ryan Giggs in the tunnel to being lambasted by Steve Chettle, only to bury the hatchet twenty years later. We also get to find out which 90s track Danny Dichio had managed to steal an exclusive march on, as well as resolving a mystery that has haunted football since time began: what are Nigel Martyn’s top five favourite drinks?  See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

Ivo Graham on Steve Bruce's 'Striker': S01E09

This week comedian Ivo Graham joins us in the studio as we focus solely on one of British literature’s greatest authors; not “old Bill Shakespeare”, but former Manchester United captain Steve Bruce. If you wander into your local book shop and head straight for the classics, it’s almost certain you won’t be confronted with the sacred text ‘Striker’ by Steve Bruce. So unlikely a career choice was it for Steve Bruce to have turned to crime fiction, that for many years, people refused to believe Steve Bruce had written it. The book is not autobiographical. Instead, it focuses on a Newcastle born football manager called ‘Steve Barnes’ who recently turned to management after retiring at ‘Mulcaster United’. Obviously, a massive literary stretch for the real-life Steve Bruce. We also discuss Steve’s short-lived TV show ‘Captain’s Log’. You can find Part 1 of it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lQeKBf9P5Lw As always, we’ve had some great correspondence; including a couple of wonderful Warren Barton anecdotes and more information on Josh’s now notorious ‘draw a stadium’ competition victory.  See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

Nish Kumar - Premier Passions : S01E08

This week comedian Nish Kumar joins us in the ‘Quickly Kevin…’ studio to discuss ‘Premier Passions’, the documentary series following Sunderland and then manager Peter Reid’s retrospectively harrowing attempt to establish the club as a Premier League force in the late 90’s. A fly on the wall look at how precisely NOT to run a football club, where boardroom level concerns about bathroom fixtures and Terence Conran designed stadium interiors took precedent over signing a striker capable of competing in the highest division. There are, unsurprisingly, more lows than highs, as the aspirations of club, manager and fans slowly turn to dread with the same traumatically inevitable sense of doom one gets from watching Denis Irwin and Brian McClair double teaming David Busst circa 1996. You can find the episodes we watched here… https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IbPKFiKE4-A https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8XRiu_z9f10 It was so brilliantly bleak we only managed to watch two of the five episodes, and given the choice of watching the remaining three or being forced to drown a sack of kittens at gunpoint whilst footage of all England’s penalty misses in the 90’s played on loop in the background, we’d obviously choose to watch the remaining episodes. But only just…. There is also an unbelievable story about 90’s legend and Dube maestro Dion Dublin crossing paths with perennial landfill-indie whipping boys, Toploader. Efan Ekoku makes an obligatory (blink and you’ll miss it) cameo mention, plus all the usual correspondence, features, and items you’ve come to endure like the squad player nobody is ever excited to see warming up on the side-lines. Yes, that means you, Darren Caskey. As always, to get in touch with the show and keep up to date on all the latest news…. Email: hello@quicklykevin.com Twitter: @QuicklyKevin Facebook: Quickly Kevin And don't forget: instagram.com/quicklykevin AND LASTLY! Go on iTunes. Think of the most niche 90s footballer you can. Leave a review which mentions them. We'll read our favourites and the best will make an appearance in the following weeks show. (We’re contractually obliged to say the review doesn’t need to be 5 stars, but you’ve got as much chance getting picked as Steve Bruce did getting a senior cap for England if you don’t leave a five star review. As much chance getting picked as Kevin Keegan did at holding onto a 12 point lead at the top of the table if…..you get the idea) Enjoy the show and we are back next week for episode nine. Tom Craine discusses 'The Impossible Job': S01E05

The Impossible Job is simply the greatest ever documentary about football (excluding Danny Baker’s Own Goals and Gaffs 2). A behind the scenes look at England’s failure to qualify for the 1994 World Cup it is heartbreaking, poignant and packed to the brim with Carlton Palmer. This week we sat down with comedian Tom Craine (writer of Josh and the excellent new BBC3 series Climaxed) to discuss what it was like to rewatch it 23 years on.  See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

Ian Pearce: S01E07

Premier League winner Ian Pearce. Jack Walker, the SAS, Stuart Ripley... in the mid-90s Blackburn really was the place to be (if you weren't in Manchester). We met up for a chat with one of the stars of their title-winning side Ian Pearce and found out who from that team he still had in his phone, why there was a car park behind the goal at Stamford Bridge and if David Batty has gone off the grid. Plus there is huge excitement as we open an untouched packet of 1995 Merlin stickers we have been sent, and get asked the big question... does Chris Bart-Williams have small feet? If you have any information that would help us clear this up please get in touch... Email: hello@quicklykevin.com Twitter: @QuicklyKevin Facebook: Quickly Kevin And don't forget: instagram.com/quicklykevin AND LASTLY! Go on iTunes. Think of the most niche 90's footballer you can. Leave a review which mentions them. We'll read the best one (It doesn't have to be 5 stars but it helps!). Enjoy the show and we are back next week for episode eight. Jim Rosenthal: S01E06

ITV in the 90s were famous for three things; Deirdre Barlow, adverts and our guest this week, Jim Rosenthal. He's covered 8 World Cups, even getting embedded with the England team for Italia 90. He was pitchside reporter the night Gareth Southgate missed in the shootout against Germany in Euro 96. And, the greatest honour of them all, once did an FA Cup draw with Graham Kelly. Plus we finally start a bespoke section that literally no-one demanded: 90s footballers spotted on water slides.  See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

Paul Merson: S01E03

This week we're joined by the legendary Paul Merson to discuss playing for England, Steve Morrow getting suplexed by Tony Adams after winning the League Cup, living with Gazza and much more. We have some awful examples of footballers acting, plus there's a wonderful listener contribution on the subject of having a childhood kick-about with an actual real-life 90s footballer.   See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

Elis James: S01E02

Bobby Gould's tenure as Wales manager in the 90s will go down as one of the most bizarre eras in the history of sport. To relive the horror, this week we're joined by Wales' foremost 90s football expert; comedian and actor Elis James. There's also a discussion about 90s management styles and some cracking feedback from listeners; including one fantastic story about bumping into Colin Cooper on a water slide.Elis brought his favourite 90s football clips which included this one of Leyton Orient manager John Sitton: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nYDIMWpcKqIAnd this one of then-Huddersfield manager Neil Warnock (note chimney in the middle of dressing room): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=im85NY4NKt4Meanwhile, in follow up to episode one thank you to Chris Rann for sending us a clip of Ali Dia almost scoring: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=k9vVV8Q9CXcAnd also thank you to Oliver Wilson who sent us this story about Derby County:Last week you discussed shirt sponsorship and Matt Le Tissier mentioned the Southampton once wore a Denmark kit that had been rebadged as Southampton. He also pointed out that Southampton manufactured their own kit for a couple of seasons. A mix of these two scenarios happened at Derby County for the 1994/95 season.  In 1993/1994 Derby had worn a kit manufactured by 'well known' sportswear firm Bukta. As a big admirer of the strip i was delighted to see the Rams wearing exactly the same shirt at the start of 1994/95, however the Bukta logo had been replaced by the clubs own stab at kit manufacturing 'Rams Pro Wear'. From what i can remember, the Rams Pro Wear logo had literally just been stitched over the top of the Bukta Motif. It only lasted for one season and i am unaware of the reasoning, i'd like to think the owners wanted to manufacture the kit themselves to save money only to give up and just recycle the Bukta shirts.Photo's of the 2 shirts attached for reference. Thank you all for listening, if you have any favourite clips of footballers trying their hands at acting, weird rules for childhood football or stories of playing with people that went on to become professional then the place to send them is: hello@quicklykevin.com  See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

Matthew Le Tissier: S01E01

Our guest this week is, in Josh's opinion, the greatest 90s footballer of them all. One club Saints legend, and Goal of the Month stalwart, Matthew Le Tissier. If you aren't sure who he is then the podcast probably isn't for you but here is a brief summary: And here is a refresher on his best goals: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YB9HjYmYwpkThe main topic for discussion beyond Le Tiss is "George Weah's cousin" Ali Dia, who can read about here if that is your thing: https://www.theguardian.com/football/2016/nov/22/ali-dia-story-20-years-on-southampton-souness We also discuss Le Tissier's hat-trick for England B, which can be seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JAjGyTHLgK4If you have met a 90s footballer in a restaurant or cafe email us at hello@quicklykevin.com  See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.
