Barry Gray was the composer on almost every Gerry Anderson production for three decades. The man behind the iconic Thunderbirds march, Captain Scarlet's song, the driving percussion of Stingray and the funky riffs of Space:1999 year one. Thanks to Barry Gray archivist Ralph Titterton we're able to bring you an archive interview with Barry, plus a recording from a 1980s convention appearance where he brings us some amusing versions of Gerry Anderson themes! Pod 64: John Glen Reveals a FAB Fact!

John Glen is best known as a director of multiple films in the James Bond franchise but also worked with Gerry Anderson on his 1994 series Space Precinct. In the first part of John's interview we chat about how he got into the business, working with Derek Meddings, and how he got involved with Space Precinct. Kevin Grazier is an American planetary physicist known for his work on the Cassini/Huygens Mission to Saturn and Titan where he had the dual roles of Science Planning Engineer and Investigation Scientist for the Imaging Science Subsystem instrument. He is also known for being the science consultant for several television series and movies, most notably the series Defiance, Battlestar Galactica, and Eureka, and the films Gravity and Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales.  Kevin is also a huge Space:1999 fan so in part one of our chat we talk about science fiction in general, the best and worst bits of Space:1999 and more. Mike Trim is a model-maker, scenic artist, designer, and storyboard artist who worked on Thunderbirds, Captain Scarlet, Joe 90, The Secret Service and UFO. Amongst the vehicles he designed are the Recovery Vehicles, the DOMO, and Skythrust in Thunderbirds, and the SHADO Mobile in UFO. Mike was interviewed by Jamie Griffiths for the Captain Scarlet 50th anniversary, and here he talks about his early days with Century 21, right through Captain Scarlet and to UFO. Jake Dudman is an actor and impressionist who shot to fame after uploading his YouTube video of his Matt Smith impression - which Matt Smith says is a better Matt Smith than Matt Smith's own Matt Smith! Jake now works for Big Finish productions as well as having been in multiple Netflix and BBC series. He's currently working on his next production for Netflix and joined us from his hotel in Manchester. Jake discusses falling in love with VHS copies of Thunderbirds in the late early 2000s, and the lasting impact that had on his life and career. In this episode we remember Richard sharing some anecdotes, and even a short chat recorded by chance in 2017. Sean Feast is a PR consultant and military aviation historian, and is the man behind the book 'A Thunder Bird in Bomber Command' - the story of Lionel Anderson's life and death in the second world war. Lionel inspired his younger brother Gerry to create Thunderbirds, and many of your favourite hero characters like Scott Tracy, Steve Zodiac, Mike Mercury and Troy Tempest. This episode is a fascinating and highly personal insight into a little-discussed influence in Gerry Anderson's life - and arguably one of the most important. Pod 25: Crispin Merrell (Part One) on Space Precinct

Mike Noble was a master of 1960s and 1970s comic artwork - being a prolific creator of the pages of Fireball XL5, Captain Scarlet and Zero-X that thrilled over a million readers a week. You may not have seen him credited, but you will know (and likely love) his work. Mike passed away a couple of weeks ago, so we wanted to run a short archive piece from 2017 that we recorded with Mike in recognition of his enormous contribution to the extended Gerry Anderson universe. But it's a happy interview, so don't worry. Add to that the usual nonsense from Richard and Jamie, Randomiser from Chris, and an unusual archive clip right at the end of this pod, it's one you won't want to miss!

Nicholas Briggs (or Nick Briggs as we know him) is the voice of the Daleks from Doctor Who, and executive producer at Big Finish Productions. He's also a lifelong Gerry Anderson fan. We cover Nick's first experience with Gerry Anderson shows - Supercar - back in the early 1960s, through Firesball XL5, Stingray and Thunderbirds, Captain Scarlet, Joe 90, Secret Service, UFO and Space:1999. We even cover what Nick's mum thought of Thunderbirds.
