Summer Movie Season’s Surprise Hit

This week we have a tale of two summer movies: one, Independence Day: Resurgence, a sequel that nobody asked for and not that many people saw either, and the other, The Lobster, a surprise arthouse hit. Even bigger surprise? We have a lot of affection for both of them. All of that plus a look at Matthew McConaughey’s would-be Oscar bid, Free State of Jones.
