LIVE 14: Be Inspired by Journalist Amelia Gentleman & "BowelBabe" Deborah James

By Badass Women’s Hour

Guardian Journalist Amelia Gentleman shares her experience of revealing the Windrush Scandal, and Sun Columnist Deborah James tells her story of living with Bowel Cancer - this part does contain #poochat.

And what is the future for alcohol? Are the under 24s actually drinking it? If not why not, and has it lost it's appeal? (Please drink responsibly obvs)

Amelia Gentleman is the journalist who exposed the Windrush scandal that has been in your news feed for the last few weeks. She talks to us about how she discovered it and what went in to revealing it. Plus we unpick whether journalism has got a bad name, and if investigative journalism has been forgotten about amongst the culture of celebrity journalism.

Deborah James has been writing about her experiences of Bowel Cancer in The Sun, and she calls herself the "Bowelbabe".

After 23 bouts of chemotherapy she is launching her #notime2lose campaign to raise awareness of the symptoms of bowel cancer, and to lower the screening age in England and Wales from 60 to 50. We challenge you to leave this conversation without the urge to check your poo more regularly.
