Is Jon Favreau’s The Lion King Live-Action or Animation? - Mailbag

By Collider

On today’s Collider Mailbag (December 2, 2018), Perri Nemiroff and Mark Reilly answer the following questions from the Collider fans:

1. Perri loves charts and box office predictions as much as I do. Disney has a huge slate next year. How would you rank these films from highest grossing to lowest? Captain Marvel, Dumbo, Penguins, Avengers 4, Aladdin, Toy Story 4, The Lion King, Artemis Fowl, Frozen 2 and Star Wars: Episode 9.

2. Do you think The Lion King (2019) should be classified as an animated film by the Academy?

3. If #IntoTheSpiderVerse becomes a successful hit in theaters, do you think Warner Bros. might consider releasing some DC animated movies next year or in the near future?

4. A lot of critics said Creed II was a formulaic movie and you could see what’s coming. Most movies are following a formula, so does it really matter if it’s formulaic and the movie still executes and is a good movie?

5. If you only could watch the filmography of one actor or actress, who would you choose?
