Black Musuem's Daniel Lapaine won't apologise for the orgasms

By Reach Podcasts

Daniel Lapaine brings 'La Pain' to this episode of the pod for an exclusive - and raucous - interview about his work on Black Mirror. Lapaine - who shot to fame as a dreamy swimmer in 1994 Australian comedy Muriel's Wedding - has a very special place in the Black Mirror universe. He's in not just one, but two episodes. He makes a cameo appearance at the start of Season 1's The Entire History of You, on the interview panel sizing up Liam (Toby Kebbell). He returns to the show to take the lead in the first story of Black Museum, The Pain Addict, based on a short story by magician Penn Jillette. It's a performance that only works if the actor throws himself fully in - and Lapaine does, orgasm noises at a hospital bedside and all. Well, if Rolo Haynes (Douglas Hodge, who's been interviewed on the podcast) was okay with it, we're going to have to be too. Listen to our analysis of Black Museum. --For more Black Mirror stuff, follow our Twitter @BlackMirrorCrrr, join the conversation in our Facebook group or read more at mirror.co.uk/blackmirror Thanks for listening!
