30 Hours: From Baby Lion to Lion King

Tuesday, 5 February

From Los Angeles to St. Louis to Chicago? About 30 hours. To pass the time, you should probably pop in this absurdly long episode of Watching the Throne, in which Chris and Travis tackle one of Kanye's most postmodern songs, 30 Hours. They break down the song's role on the "bonus" section of the album, and how Kanye juxtaposes his past fame-chasing self with his current happy home. They also discuss Little Bear, buying a boat together, and Chris's sad, heart-wrenching past filled with Magic cards and rectangular pizza.

You can buy The Yeezus Book—a scholarly, visual-heavy coffee table book that breaks down Yeezus in its entirety, from the album's narrative to the production to the tour.
