Could see the game differently at an earlier ageHas always been viewed as Tomboy but any type of verbal abuse strengthened herDebbie Ryan at the University of Virginia starting recruiting her in the 9th gradeStill guarded and hard to earn her trust but once you’re in then you’re in for lifeTrust is a huge factor and she needs the relationship with recruitsBalances her harshness as a coach with loveShe’s a builder and likes creating building strong foundationsNo desire to coach a men’s team as she wants to develop young players to reach the WNBAWords of Wisdom from Dawn Staley:“The disciplined person can do anything.”“You have to do what you don’t want to do, to get what you want.”
