Melanie is a philanthropist, advocate, Mompreneur and mother of two special needs children. Her favorite quote is “the best is yet to come” and has proven true to that statement during her life. Growing up, she endured 17 years of sexual abuse, faced the reality of a mental health crisis, and went through a divorce. She gave birth to a set of twins in 2011 and later found out both of them would grow up with life long medical challenges. Despite her past, Melanie turned her trials into triumphs. In 2014, she graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science and has defeated the odds both personally and professionally. In February 2019, she leveraged her hardships raising special needs children and turned them into humble beginnings by creating Here For A Reason, Inc., a nonprofit organization that provides financial and educational support to families who are caring for a loved one with a complex condition.
