Liverpool have taken the decision to furlough some non-playing club staff – but those affected will continue to be paid 100% of their salary. Furloughed staff will receive 80% of their salary through the government’s job retention scheme – with the Reds making up the difference.Fellow top-flight clubs Bournemouth, Newcastle United, Norwich City and Tottenham Hotspur have also taken the decision to furlough staff after the Premier League was suspended following the coronavirus outbreak.
