213: Ear Hustle's Antwan Wiliams: From San Quentin Prison to Inspiring Youth

By Be Here For A While

Antwan Banks Williams basically grew up in prison. Sent to San Quentin at the dawn of adulthood he spent the last 15 years growing into the man he is today.  Paroled less than 6 months ago, his mission is to inspire youth to take a different path.  From South Central Los Angeles he saw first hand what gang violence and poverty can do to an impressionable child and he wants to change that.  An aspiring music artist and also the co-founder of the incredibly popular podcast Ear Hustle (recorded inside San Quentin Prison) which was also just nominated for a Pulitzer Prize!
