By the age of 23, England Flanker Tom Rees had reached a World Cup final and become an Premiership and European champion as part of the all-conquering golden generation at Wasps. And then, with the rugby world seemingly at his feet, injury struck. At 27, Rees had to make the heart-wrenching decision to hang up the boots. Eight years on, he is now an NHS doctor, working on the frontline at Basingstoke Hospital amidst the Coronavirus pandemic. Sky Sports News’ Jamie Weir picks up the story…
