First episode of Season 2 is a chat with my wonderful friend Hannah Vaughan Jones
who was 35 weeks pregnant when we spoke. Since then, her husband, BBC News anchor Lewis
, and her have welcomed Matheson (known as Sonny) into the world and I could not be happier for them!
Hannah and Lewis tried for a family for 6 years before deciding to move on to double donor IVF. However, before they did so they transferred their last two frozen embryos from a previous cycle. Two embryos that were too ‘poor quality’ to test. One of them stuck and here Hannah talks about what that pregnancy, which followed multiple rounds of fertility treatment which included a miscarriage.
Among other things we talk mental health following infertility, both enjoying and complaining about being pregnant, antenatal classes, birth plans, supportive alternative treatment and painting the house from top to bottom!
