There is ongoing injustice, because there is a perception that black people are less. Racism exists because there is a difference, it’s about getting to a point where everyone views everyone else as equal. Nothing is going to change until the race that believes it is superior sees everyone as equal. If you accept that as a person you have an advantage over others it is then about wanting to be better. Being educated about why you have privilege over others and understanding why black people have a lack of opportunity and the underlying poverty is key in recognising why people are angry. If you have influence then you can use it to speak up and continue the dialogue. Listening and really hearing what others are saying is a vital part of the process. There is difference, we are not all the same, but we can learn to love each other and appreciate our differences.
