Geoff Thompson is a British author, filmmaker, BAFTA-winning screenwriter, and martial arts expert.

His first book,¬†‚ÄúWatch My Back‚ÄĚ, detailed his experiences working as a nightclub bouncer in Coventry for over a decade, and was made into a¬†stage play, adapted to a¬†BAFTA-nominated short film, and a¬†BIFA nominated feature film.

Today he is a¬†black belt¬†in karate, judo, and aikido, and¬†‚ÄúBlack Belt Magazine USA‚Ä̬†polled him as the most influential martial artist in the world since¬†Bruce Lee.

In his subsequent career as a writer, he has penned films for Ray Winstone, James Cosmo, and Orlando Bloom. He has also written articles for national publications, including The Times, Men’s Fitness, and GQ.

He has choreographed a West End play, written an acclaimed musical and had five films and three stage plays made about his life.

He has written over¬†40 books, including multiple Sunday Times best-sellers, and his latest,¬†‚ÄúNotes from a Factory Floor: How I got from there to here‚ÄĚ, chronicles his journey from a¬†Coventry bedsit¬†to¬†the hallowed halls of BAFTA Piccadilly.
