In 1968, Sislin Fay Allen applied to join the Metropolitan Police. At the bottom of her application, she felt the need to point out that she was black.
When she passed the interview process and was accepted into the police force, she made history.
This Black History Month on the Sky News Daily podcast, host Noel Phillips travelled 5,000 miles to Jamaica to meet Sislin and hear her story.
