As promised, some extra info:

The Separated Parents Information Programme is a course that helps parents in acrimonious dispute to stay child-centred in their thinking about how they co-parent after separation. The handbook navigates a number of areas: legal, financial, parenting and emotional aspects of a divorce or separation. See: cafcass.gov.uk/download/7037

Also, a Parenting Plan template might be helpful to use as a written or online agreement between you both. This is not legally binding and is flexible — a useful way to figure out the issues you and your ex are struggling to resolve. Working through this together might remind you of your shared commitment to prioritising the children’s best interests. download the template here: cafcass.gov.uk/download/4365.
