Breadcrumbs of freedom

Breadcrumbs of freedom

By The Telegraph

Golf is back, "revellers" are enjoying the sunshine and tiny specks of normality are starting to reappear. They can't come soon enough for Telegraph columnists and Planet Normal co-pilots Allison Pearson and Liam Halligan, who this week celebrate "Happy Monday", struggle to crown just one "Numpty of the Week" and award coveted Planet Normal mugs to two moving listener emails.

Boarding the rocket alongside them is Professor Ellen Townsend, leader of the University of Nottingham's Self Harm Research Group. With some disquieting words for the government, she tells our co-pilots why she thinks the UK should hang its head in shame over the way children have been treated over lockdown, and why it's not always easy to be a scientist who subscribes to the Great Barrington Declaration.

Allison and Liam will be replying to comments beneath this article on Thursday 1st April from 11am-12pm: https://www.telegraph.co.uk/opinion/2021/04/01/should-hang-heads-shame-way-have-treatedchildren-lockdown/ |
