“Watching Twilight on Netflix is like ordering a fish sandwich at McDonald’s.”

All my bright-eyed-bringers --- here are some horror movie headlines that have us over on the mics all excited:

Universal and Peacock Networks did a deal for The Exorcist for 400 million dollars, what? They are rumored to be bringing back Ellen Burstyn who played mamma Chris, but no sign of Regan returning yet, Linda Blair.

Dee Snider dreams up a crazy sequel to Strangeland called Strangeland: Disciple that would see the return of Captain Howdy.

And did you know I Know What You Did Last Summer is going to be a series?

Tonight is brought to you by The Collaboration Filmmakers Challenge see below for special offers.

Yes, we are supported by sponsors and affiliates sometimes to produce this fan favorite indie darlin’ every week.

Tonight’s feature presentation is THE FINAL GIRLS (2015). Max, recently orphaned, goes to see a screening of a B-horror movie that her mother made 20 years earlier. When Max and her friends find themselves in the world of the film itself, they must apply their knowledge of horror tropes to survive.

We explain how fans can win a digital copy of A Quiet Place II.

We have some scary recommendations with Deadly Spawn, Old, Rillington Place, and Blood Red Sky.

Here at the Binge-Watchers Podcast, we watch a lot of movies, and we spend a lot of time talking about movies. Do you ever think about making movies? Well, we do - and here is the perfect chance to get off your butt and make a film.

The Collaboration Filmmakers Challenge is a two-week film challenge - you make a short film from start to finish in two weeks. And check this out - three winning filmmakers will get development deals with Hollywood Production companies. One deal is with Shout Factory who produces Mystery Science Theater 3000, and the other two are with Adi Shankar who produces Castlevania for Netflix in addition to movies like Dredd and The Grey. Wild right? Where else are you going to get the chance to get paid to develop a project with recognizable production companies and take it to market? Aside from the deal, filmmakers can win thousands of dollars in cash prizes and equipment as well.

What makes the CFC different from other festivals is the challenge was invented to reward creativity - not access to money or gear.  All filmmakers need to work with another participant - so this is actually great - if you are an editor, camera operator, or actor - and are just looking to work on movies, sign up. If you are a filmmaker but need talent and crew, this is again an excellent opportunity to meet and network.
