#340: Real 911 Dispatchers React to the film “The Guilty”

We interview real 911 Dispatchers Katie Gregory-Tims from Texas and Susan Nofplotes from Florida about and get their take on the hit Netflix thriller “The Guilty” starring Jake Gyllenhaal who plays a tightly wound cop doing 911 desk duty until he can be reinstated as a detective.

We go in depth to see just how accurate the portrayal of 911 calls and emergency situations are depicted. (You may be surprised!) Lisa talks about the spectacular voice casting in the film (Ethan Hawke, Riley Keough, Peter Sarsgaard), as Gyllenhaal’s character gets call after call and is drawn into a particularly desperate situation. Jim gets the chance to ask Katie and Susan, as seasoned professionals, what they thought of the 911 calls relevant in the tragic death of Gabby Petito.
