Indigenous Simplicity: Sustaining Human Life On Earth - With Sir Tim Smit

By Blue Earth Summit

Can you imagine having your home destroyed? Can you imagine a life full of ruin? Well, for the indigenous communities, this is their reality. Sir Tim Smit, co-founder of The Eden Project, empathises with these communities, and intends to flip western control over these areas on its head as The Eden Project looks to international expansion across all continents. Tim highlights that the debate shouldn’t be about carbon, but about keeping our planet cool. With opposed views on establishment, Tim outlines the importance of collective moral compass, in other words…big businesses, wake up. Our world is fragile, it needs to be protected, not thrown to the wayside. Whilst there’s work to be done, its time to dig deep and save the earth.  *** The Blue Earth Summit is a movement and community driving positive action for our natural world.  In October 2021, we brought together over 800 changemakers, business leaders, content creators and activists for our inaugural Blue Earth Summit event in Bristol. It involved 2 days of talks, workshops, inspiring conversations and outdoor activities around 3 big ideas:  Living and working sustainably  Protecting our outdoor playgrounds And Inspiring a healthy outlook This podcast shares those ideas with you by bringing you the best talks and panel discussions from Blue Earth Summit Year 1 at The Old Marble Factory To see filmed versions of all these talks and sign up for Blue Earth Summit 2022 visit blueearthsummit.com
