Febian Brandy - "I'm ready to share my story"

By Manchester United

Febian Brandy joined the UTD Podcast from Old Trafford this week. Joining the club as a boy, he spent 12 years at United working his way through the Academy and eventually to the fringes of the First Team.

As a bright spark in Man Utd's youth set-up, Febian attracted interest from other clubs. He told us how he turned down an offer from Barcelona when they called his parents about a potential move to Spain. He talked us through his development during those years, and the incidents away from the training ground which occasionally got him in to trouble with Sir Alex Ferguson.

Febian also opened up about the tragic events in his personal life, where in 2021 both his parents passed away on the same day, in unrelated incidents. He went into detail about the events and told us how it put on hold his plans to return to playing football for the time being.

Maysie and Helen also read out your emails at the end of the episode. If you'd like to write to the only official Manchester United Podcast then e-mail utdpodcast@manutd.co.uk
