The Surfers Behind the Blue Earth Summit
By Blue Earth Summit
Welcome to series 2 of the podcast and a warm welcome to your new host Laura Nesbitt, she’s got some serious outdoors creds being a competitive swimmer and currently in training to swim the Bristol channel…brrr!
In this first episode, as we launch the Blue Earth Summit 2022, we wanted to introduce you to the faces/voices behind it all, founders of WL Group: Linley Lewis and brothers Guy & Will Hayler, in conversation with head of content Steph Pomphrey.
From the early days of grom surfing the Cornish breaks, life guarding and surf instruction, to setting up Ticket To Ride travel, running Wavelength surf magazine, the Drive-In at Watergate Bay and now the Spring Classic surf/music festival and of course Blue Earth.
We hope you enjoy this new series as we gradually introduce this year’s speakers, ambassadors, and expect some bonus episodes as plans unfurl through to October and beyond.

What is the Blue Earth Summit?
Blue Earth Summit is a movement. A dynamic mix of communities, redefining how we work and driven by a love for the outdoors. A new way to connect and regenerate our connection to our blue earth.
With our eclectic Bristol venue partners the Marble Factory and The Wave, October 2022 will see an extended programme over three days. Two days of inspirational content in central Bristol followed by a final day of activity-led networking at one of Europe’s premier sporting venues.
