A love of booze & amphetamines led to a tough transition to a life, after baseball. He never quite adjusted. A very public divorce & stalking arrest tarnished his image, but that pales in comparison to the time that he killed that lady, with his car, after hanging out with Playboy models! It's a real roller coaster of a story, from underdog, that you root for, to arrogant jerk, at whom you shake your head!
