The missing million: Why are so many people choosing not to work?

One in five working-age people are currently "economically inactive", according to the Office for National Statistics (ONS) - that is, out of work and not looking for a job. Whilst the reasons vary, the consequences are potentially dire for the UK economy.

On Sky News Daily, Niall Paterson speaks to our Business correspondent Paul Kelso, who's been speaking to people in that group about why they've said no to work, and to Tony Wilson from the Institute for Employment Studies about the impact of so many unfilled job posts on the economy.
