194: The Noida Double Murder of Aarushi Talwar and Hemraj Banjade | India

By Evidence Locker True Crime

On the morning of 16 May 2008, the body of 13-year-old Aarushi Talwar was found in her bed. She had suffered an injury to the head and her killer had slit her throat. At first, the family and police assumed that the murderer was the live-in domestic servant, seeing as he was nowhere to be found. But then they found his body on a rooftop terrace – he had been killed in exactly the same way as Aarushi. The double murder became one of India’s most puzzling cases, making people wonder what really happened that dreadful night inside the Talwar’s apartment.
