Ep. 227 - Linford Christie

By Cast Off Productions

Linford Christie is one of the most successful British athletes of all time and still the British record holder for the 100m. In 1993 he was Olympic, World, Commonwealth and European champion, the only British male athlete to hold all titles at the same time, and he won the BBC’s Sports Personality in the same year. He was the first European athlete to break the 10-second barrier and is a former world indoor record holder over 200 metres, and a former European record holder in the 60 metres, 100 m and 4 × 100 metres relay. Linford Christie is guest number 227 on My Time Capsule and chats to Michael Fenton Stevens about the five things he'd like to put in a time capsule; four he’d like to preserve and one he’d like to bury and never have to think about again .
