Liverpool Arsenal madness, Lampard back at Chelsea, Newcastle United ownership

By The Athletic

Joe Devine, Jon Mackenzie, Seb Stafford-Bloor and Reuben Pinder are here to talk about some football. We tried to make sense of a mental game at Anfield as Arsenal took a point away at Liverpool. Frank Lampard is back at the Bridge just in time to steer Chelsea to a 1-0 defeat to Wolves.  Bruno Fernandes played deeper in midfield for Manchester United in their 2-0 win over Everton, we looked at that because we found it interesting.   Seb Stafford-Bloor joined us from Germany to guide us through the latest twist in the ongoing saga that surrounds the ownership of Newcastle United. The Pinder-Mackenzie derby saw Leeds take the lead but get blown away 5-1 by Roy Hodgson’s resurgent Crystal Palace. Plus Wrexham won the top of the table clash in the National League including a lovely goal from John Bostock and some goalkeeping heroics by Ben Foster. Oh and we teach Joe how to pronounce quite a few words... This episode of the Tifo football podcast is presented by Joe Devine and produced by Steve Hankey. Learn more about your ad choices.
