Women Behind the Curtain: Cleoma Falcon

Cleoma Falcon (1906-1941) was a Cajun musician from French-speaking Louisiana. A groundbreaking artist – and one of the few women from her culture who were performing live at the time – she helped define the Cajun genre and popularize it beyond Cajun country.

These diverse women from across space and time are grouped into easily accessible and engaging monthly themes like Educators, Villains, Indigenous Storytellers, Activists, and many more.  Womanica is hosted by WMN co-founder and award-winning journalist Jenny Kaplan. The bite-sized episodes pack painstakingly researched content into fun, entertaining, and addictive daily adventures.
