The Sun’s Charlie Wyett and Charlotte Dunker of the The Times discuss the major stories from the back pages which include the sad news that German football legend Franz Beckenbauer passed away at the age of 78. They also react to Manchester United’s 1-0 win against Wigan Athletic in the FA Cup which sees them progress to the fourth round where they will face Newport County or Eastleigh.

Despite the 2-0 win, Roy Keane was critical of United’s strikers, and the duo give their views on whether they will strengthen their forward line in the January transfer window. Mauricio Pochettino revealed that Chelsea are not concerned about their financial fair play situation and that they do not need to sell players in order to sign new ones, but Charlotte Dunker believes the targets they need will cost huge sums and the club will need to balance the books at some point soon.
