Marouane Fellaini - "The most difficult season of my life"

Marouane Fellaini - "The most difficult season of my life"

By Manchester United

Marouane Fellaini, who was Manchester United’s first major signing of the post-Sir Alex Ferguson era, sat down with Helen Evans and Sam Homewood to discuss his journey with the Reds between 2013 and 2019. The Belgium international, who announced his retirement from football in February 2024, admits his first season at the club was ‘the worst of his career’, but highlights his hard work and dedication in recovering to become a vital contributor to trophy wins under Louis van Gaal and Jose Mourinho.

Marouane also touches upon his early career with Standard Liege and Everton, moving to China and living through Covid there and what’s next after hanging up his boots, in an honest, open and insightful listen.
