By Dear Media, Whitney Port

I'm Whitney Port, and a lot has happened since you last saw me on The Hills. For starters, I'm a mom, I got married to the love of my life, Timmy, I run a business outside of fashion - it's time we finally catch up. There are so many facets that make up my life: relationships, parenthood, entrepreneurship, beauty, fashion, health, wellness and much more. Join me each week as we meet and discuss all these topics and more with trusted experts and favorite people on earth. Hopefully, we can embark on this new journey together with openness, honesty and a little bit of Whit.

Introducing Summer of Gold

Summer of Gold tells the story of the 1996 Olympic Games through the lens of the women Olympians who dominated that summer. From the “Magnificent Seven" gymnasts to the USA women’s basketball, soccer and softball teams all winning gold (and becoming cultural phenomena), to the founding of the WNBA, 1996 altered the course of history for American sports generally and women athletes in particular. In celebration of the 25th anniversary, Summer of Gold provides an unrivaled perspective on one of the most important moments in American sports and cultural history. Hosted by Michelle Kwan.

Chriselle Lim on Finding Inspiration, Saying No & Helping Parents with Bümo

I am so grateful to be connected with so many empowering and talented women in this industry. I went into this podcast interview feeling overwhelmed and ready for a vacation. I walked away inspired and driven to make adjustments in daily work life. Chriselle Lim is considered one of the pioneers in digital fashion content, starting her YouTube Channel and website, The Chriselle Factor, in 2011 from her college dorm room. We talk about the reality that creating unique content every day is a lot to ask, and we need to be ok with the fact that there are lulls in inspiration. Additionally, we discuss the power of slowing down, not being reactionary and saying no to the constant asks from others. Chriselle is also the co-founder of Bümo, which is an early childhood education platform; she is passionate about finding a modern solution for millennial parents, and specifically working mothers. During the pandemic she started Bümo Brain, helping parents educate their children virtually in the pandemic. Produced by Dear Media

Reflecting on 2021: What I’m Proud Of & Future Goals

I can’t believe we are in the second half of 2021 already. So much has happened, yet I cannot keep up with the time because I am constantly go, go, go, go. All that being said, I really wanted to carve out some time to reflect on this year so far and think about what I want my intentions and mindset to be for the remainder of it. It only seemed right to involve y’all in this thought process! I covered two major topics in this episode - my personal/mental health journey and motherhood this year. I walked you through what I’ve accomplished that I’m most proud of and my new goals! I really encourage you all to try this for yourselves. As always, I discovered new things about myself as I did this plus felt like I had my own productive therapy session. P.S. DM me your oatmeal recipes (not sludgy...textures...) and parenting books you love on IG xo Produced by Dear Media

Remaining Relevant in Fashion with Founders of P.E. Nation

As a creative and entrepreneur, I value talking to others working in this industry. I think it is so key to learn from one another - not to compete but more so to lift each other up in an effort to grow our businesses. Claire Tregoning and Pip Edwards join me to talk about my favorite thing - fashion. They are the founders and creative directors of P.E. Nation, one of my favorite active sportswear lifestyle brands. All of their pieces are so fresh and unique, so I was very excited to learn more about their process. We talk about the importance of looking beyond who your customer is, the struggle between staying true to your vision and using data to inform your designs, and MORE!   Claire and Pip's combined talent and vision have seen the brand grow from start-up in 2016 to wide global admiration and demand, with immediate industry recognition – taking home prestigious accolades including Best Emerging Designer at the Australian Fashion Laureate Awards in 2017, and the National Designer Award at VAMFF in 2018.  This episode is brought to you by Elemis, Bitty Baby and KiwiCo.   Elemis is the number one luxury British skincare brand that believes in “Truth in Beauty''. Best of WITH WHIT: Chats on Self-Help, Grief and Mental Health

Last week was an emotional one. Sonny turned four, and I missed my dad so much. My grief washed over me, and I let myself cry for the first time in a while. Feeling everything was hard, however, I know it provided growth and realization that I can take with me into this week. I spent time reflecting and focused on the steps I needed to take to get to the next moment mindfully. As I did this, I thought about self-care related episodes I shared with you in the past. I thought it would be cool to do a "Best of WITH WHIT" featuring some of my favorite tips and conversations from three previous episodes. If you have heard them before, I hope they are good reminders! If you haven't, make sure to check out the full episodes. You'll hear from... • Staying Home With Whit | Rabbi Steve Leder on Finding Spirituality & Floating With Grief • Staying Home With Whit | Battling My Harshest Critic, Myself • How To Build Habits (AND Make Them Stick) With Dr. BJ Fogg     This episode is brought to you by Elemis, the number one luxury British skincare brand that believes in “Truth in Beauty''. A Look Inside My Daily Routines & Physical Health

I am a creature of habit. At least, I try to be. I quickly came to realize during the pandemic that routines are life changing. In this episode, I share details of my morning and wind down routines. Plus, I share my thoughts on social media and what helps me keep my physical health in check. I really enjoy recording these solo episodes. I hope you love listening to them! Let me know what you think by leaving a review. Life and Spirituality Coach, Ryan Haddon, Helps Me Pick Myself Up

It’s on days like these that I am so thankful for WITH WHIT. The day I interviewed Ryan Haddon, I was in such a slump. Ryan is a certified Life and Spiritual coach, clinical Hypnotherapist, and certified meditation teacher with over 16 years of experience with clients around the world. Additionally, she does private workshops such as “Stepping Into Your Purpose,” “The Work/Life Balance,” and “Finding Your Center.” She’s also the in-house Life Coach at Kourtney Kardashian’s website Poosh, where she has written more than 50 mind/body/spirit articles.        This episode is brought to you by Lovevery and Hooked On Phonics Give your child the confidence that reading brings with Hooked On Phonics. How to Create a Strong Social Media & Digital Presence with Renee Ogaki

Last year, while life was on lockdown and there was so little we could control, I realized I desperately needed to focus on the strategy behind building an influential and important social media presence. I had this "AHA" moment but knew I wasn't capable of this overarching, big picture task. I like small touches and up-close views...and that's ok! I’ve learned the importance of acknowledging your strengths and weaknesses as early as possible so you know when to ask for help. I have the creative eye and vision, but needed someone not only versed in the inner workings of brand building and data analysis, but who also embodied the style, grace and silliness that my brand represents. Enter, Renee Ogaki!! Renee is the founder of OGAKI, the first digital PR agency of its kind. OGAKI is entirely focused on the online space and built for digital-first brands and personalities. Renee has helped me not only strengthen my Instagram channel, but is also handling the social and PR for my lounge line, COZeCO! During our chat she shares how she came up with the strategy for building my and COZeCO's social media accounts and gives some great advice for those looking to get into the digital marketing and PR space! She started working in the digital space before Instagram had even launched, creating a strong foundation of experience in building a brand’s voice and community online. Throughout her career, Renee has worked with pioneering brands across the beauty, fashion, hospitality and lifestyle space including Four Seasons, Diptyque, Charlotte Tilbury, Bulgari Hotels, New Balance, among others.    This episode is brought to you by Chloe Wine Collection.    Chloe Wine Collection is a female-led wine brand, dedicated to celebrating women’s stories and inspiring meaningful moments. Timmy and I Share Our Favorite Things: From Products to Mindful Practices

If I am not recording a solo episode, then my favorite way to record a podcast is with my husband, Tim Rosenman! There’s no interviewing pressure – we just sit, chat, laugh and enjoy. For this episode, I had the idea for us to do a little homework beforehand. We each came into this conversation with a list of our five favorite things! I had no rules for what they needed to be, so it was so fun to hear how different they were – the lists spanned from apps to activities to mindfulness to products. Additionally, we provided a little life update for what is going on in our home.  To those who need – you can get the nipple covers/Nippies I love and talk about on Amazon: https://amzn.to/3sYu3cR   This episode is brought to you by Agency, Talkspace and Seed. A Day in My Life

My best ideas come while I am in the shower. I wish there was a way to take notes while in there, as sometimes I forget what I have thought about! Waterproof notepad? Thankfully, I did not lose my idea to make a Day in the Life podcast episode! Usually, I record for forty-five minutes in one sitting. I thought it would be cool to record an episode over twenty-four hours! SO, that’s what I did and it was really fun! Every three hours or so, I came back to my desk and recorded about a ten minute update of my day. You’ll hear about what snacks I ate, Sonny’s insane sleeping, my lack of sleep, my therapy session, detailed updates and BTS on my loungewear line, COZeCO, and more!   This episode is brought to you by Pipette. Registered Dietitian, Vanessa Rissetto On Healthy Relationships With Food

I’ve talked about this before, but I have a blasé relationship with food. I do not crave a certain meal ever (well, maybe a rotisserie chicken basket from The Country Mart) or have excitement over cooking. A goal of mine is to break from my work to fuel my body. Make time for three meals a day. Sounds so simple, but for me it's not. Also, I need to take the pressure off myself that each meal needs to be this immaculate thing. I want to start looking at eating as a necessity to get my body working the way it needs to get me through the day. My conversation with registered dietician, Vanessa Rissetto, was amazing. I want to be her friend. She was so cool and shared so many scientific facts about eating and our bodies. She explained that eating certain foods should not be about gaining or losing weight but to simply give our bodies what they need to function and survive.  Vanessa is the co-founder of Culina Health. Her work in private practice includes treatment of GI disorders, bariatric surgery, weight management, PCOS, and family nutrition. She is mostly interested in helping clients to take an active role in their health journey, any of her clients can tell you she motivates and ensures that they always achieve success. Vanessa was named by Essence magazine as one of the top 5 black nutritionists that will change the way you think about food and currently serves as the Dietetic Internship Director at New York University.   This episode is brought to you by Pipette Pipette is a clean baby and mom care brand with a mission to give every family the best start. It's Time To Live My Life for Me

During my last solo chat with you all, I talked about how I labeled myself as lazy and unproductive. Last week, I had a huge realization. I feel unmotivated when I am doing work for others and not for me…when I am living my life for someone else. It’s in those moments where I lose the passion for my job and in turn begin to lose myself. In this episode, I recount memories that have contributed to this way of living and thinking. A major example I share is the fact that my 20’s were produced for me for a TV show. I was literally just along for the ride to my life. Now, in my 30’s I am in control, and I don’t know what to do with that power. It’s intimidating! While recording this, I really just wanted to let you into what’s going on in my brain right now. What I’ve learned is my life is mine, and I no longer want to be a bystander to it.   This episode is brought to you by Art of Tea. Staying Home With Whit | Timmy Shares His Self-care Tips & Rituals

It’s a Timmy Takeover!! The other week, I had so much on my plate, so I asked Timmy if he would be interested in taking over my podcast for an episode, so I could focus on some other work that needed to be done. If you know him, you know that I did not have to twist his arm. This is another part of my self-care series, and he answered the questions that I previously responded to about self-care. I thought it would be cool for you to hear how we both implement self-care into our lives as you might get further inspired by new ideas. Hope you enjoy this one, I know he did! Staying Home With Whit | Rabbi Steve Leder on Finding Spirituality & Floating With Grief

I identify as Jewish, however, do not actively practice the faith. I consider myself a very spiritual person. During my conversation with Rabbi Steve Leder, we discuss the idea that the word spirituality has lost its meaning as it is consistently overused. It has so much meaning that it now has no meaning. Rabbi Leder, who has played a part with my family for a long time, explains the path to spirituality, the true power of gratefulness and how religion is a vessel to maintain spirituality. Additionally, we spoke about grief. Now more than ever, people all over the world are experiencing grief at varying degrees – the loss of a loved one, the loss of a job, the loss of touch, etc. He explains how important it is to accept grief into your daily life instead of fighting against it. I was so moved by his messages and left this conversation looking at my grief so differently. I hope this can help those who are struggling.  To learn more about Rabbi Leder’s messages on grief check out "The Beauty of What Remains: How Our Greatest Fear Becomes Our Greatest Gift" – his inspiring book about loss based on his most popular sermon. Staying Home With Whit | Battling My Harshest Critic, Myself

My goals this year are to prioritize my mental health and to check myself when I start to burden my mind with negative self talk. As we all know, this is easier said than done. I have said this a million times, but we have to show up for ourselves before we can show up for others. This is the first of a series of episodes I am going to do where I share updates on my self-care regimen. Recording these are so therapeutic for me, and I hope you find them helpful as well! In this round, I share how I try to calm myself down, reframe my thinking during moments of heavy negativity, how important it is to literally schedule time for yourself and more. Most importantly, I want to mention that I have not mastered these tools yet. These are all things I am working on and striving to hold myself accountable for. Staying Home With Whit | What I Learned About Myself in 2020

2020 has been a year of hardship, stress, sadness, anxiety, depression...a lot of negative. However, there have also been moments of learning, finding light, feeling shine and experiencing growth. I wanted to reflect on my year not only to share with you some of my lessons to hopefully inspire you to look at yours, but also to say things out loud. I walked away from recording this feeling so proud of myself and happy. It truly felt like a therapy session, and I found myself actually learning new things about myself as I spoke. The power of self reflection is evident. I highly recommend that you take a moment to look back at all of the experiences you went through this year. Good, bad, happy, sad, wins, mistakes, stresses...there is something you will be able to take away from all of them. Trust me. Thank you all for listening to my podcast this year. It means so so much to me. I wish you all a happy and healthy 2021...I’ll see you next year! Xo This episode is brought to you by Nutrafol. Staying Home With Whit | Joe Zee, Timmy and I Dish About ‘The City’

Timmy and I are currently making reaction videos to ‘The Hills’ on my YouTube! Did you know that?! Prior to watching 'The Hills' we binged the whole series of 'The City,' the show where I moved to NYC to follow my dreams! It was crazy and amazing, and I met some of the most inspiring people. One of those people is Joe Zee - someone I look up to immensely. Timmy and I chat with him all about his experience filming a reality show while serving as Creative Director at ELLE Magazine! Joe is an internationally acclaimed TV producer, host and style expert, and fashion industry veteran. Joe’s impressive resume features leadership roles at mega fashion publications including Creative Director at ELLE Magazine and Editor-in-Chief and Executive Creative Officer at Yahoo! Style. His trusted fashion expertise has earned him roles on top broadcast programs, including the role of resident judge on Canada’s Stitched and Oscar’s pre-show coverage for ABC’s Good Morning America, as well as on-air contributions to NBC’s TODAY, CNN, Access Hollywood and Entertainment Tonight. Most recently, he produced the Netflix documentary series, ‘7 Days Out’.   Produced by Dear Media

Staying Home With Whit | Zahra Kassam on the Benefits of a Montessori Education

The process of finding the right school for Sonny was daunting and scary. It’s a lot of pressure to send your child to the “right” place where they can flourish. When you start to look, you hardly know your child’s personality yet so it’s confusing to know what’s right. The more you search, the more you realize there isn’t just one “right” place. They are all perfect in their own right but the one that worked for us was simply based on a gut reaction. We chose a Montessori School because we love their philosophy and it just felt warm and cozy. Prior to quarantine, I spoke with Zahra Kassam, Founder and CEO of venture-backed start-up, Monti Kids: the only subscription service for children ages 0-3 that provides an authentic Montessori education, proven in schools for over 100 years. During our conversation, Zahra explains all of the benefits to a Montessori education, its history and ways parents can start implementing this philosophy into their homes. Zahra holds a BA in Psychology from Harvard and a Master's degree from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. She is an internationally certified Montessori teacher at the infant, toddler and preschool levels and a mother to two young boys. Through Monti Kids, Zahra is filling the education gap from birth to preschool, the most critical years of development when 85% of the brain is formed. Staying Home With Whit | Tyler Cameron on The Bachelorette & Life After

Timmy and I watch a lot of TV - especially reality and especially, especially the Bachelor franchise. Before even knowing Timmy, my family had Bachelor/Bachelorette viewings every Monday with family and friends. It was A THING in our household. Chris Harrison and friends even came over one Monday night on one of their classic mega-fan watching party pop ins! So, you can imagine our excitement when the opportunity presented itself to chat with Tyler Cameron. He shares all the details of the audition process he went through for the Bachelorette, what life was like after the show and more. Tyler is a TV personality, actor, author, model, and philanthropist. He is a co-founder & ambassador for the charity organization, ABC Food Tours, which focuses on enriching the lives of kids in underserved communities. Staying Home With Whit | Roxy Olin & I Reminisce On Filming ‘The City’

Do you guys watch my YouTube channel? You should. Timmy and I spent the beginning of quarantine binging and filming our reactions to ‘The City,’ my spinoff from ‘The Hills’! It was so much fun and nostalgic (and cringy). We are amazed at the community we have built while premiering our videos with LIVE chats on Wednesdays and Fridays on our channel. Join us! We thought it would be fun to interview some cast members from the show. First up is Roxy Olin! Roxy and I have been friends forever. Staying Home With Whit | Ariane Goldman, Founder of Hatch, On The Common Denominator of Motherhood

If you have been following me for a while, you know that pregnancy was a mix of extremes - major highs and major lows. I wasn’t that stereotypical mom who felt glowy or sexy or empowered. I wanted to be excited, but I couldn’t force it and that made me feel weak and unstable. I felt really alone and wished I had been able to hear other voices singing the same tune...a community of humans bringing other humans into the world with a validating and encouraging tone. In this episode, I talk with Ariane Goldman, founder of HATCH, the most amazing maternity brand that’s mission includes cultivating a community. With over 100K followers on Instagram, the HATCH community is a place for mom’s looking for support and relief. Ariane and I discuss how she built her brand, the common denominator of motherhood and the importance of adapting as a mother (this year has really proven this). Staying Home With Whit | Faith Xue, Editor of Byrdie Beauty, And I Talk Everything Beauty!

I love beauty. I love exploring new products, trends and everything in between. Obviously beauty has changed dramatically over this year. I know I am wearing far less makeup than ever before. It’s nice, but I also miss getting glammed up. My quarantine beauty routine is mainly just a lot of skincare! Not complaining. I have been so curious about what has been happening to the industry since Covid hit. I zoomed with Faith Xue, Editorial Director of Byrdie, a one stop shop blog for everything beauty for everyone. Faith and I discuss how our own beauty routines have changed, the future of the beauty industry and brands and celebrities to watch! Faith has been with Byrdie since 2014 as one of their first editors. Prior to joining Byrdie, Faith was a staff editor for L’Oréal’s beauty website Makeup.com, where she oversaw editorial strategy and daily content production. After a brief stint at Angeleno magazine, she realized her heart was in digital. Staying Home With Whit | Kelsey Murphy, Business & Life Coach, Shares How To Learn & Prioritize What Is Most Important To You

I cannot tell you how beyond grateful I am for my career. It has given me the ability to truly pursue my dreams like designing a clothing line and candle collection and it allows me to create this beautiful life with my husband, Timmy, and Sonny. However, my multi-faceted business brings along a number of stressors which can bleed into my personal life. During my chat with Kelsey Murphy, Business and Life Coach, we discuss how to battle that negative internal dialogue we all struggle with when we feel anxious and overwhelmed. She explains that by creating a Three Year Manifesto of your dream life you can prioritize what is most important to you in your life and business. Staying Home With Whit | Lauren Conrad and I (FINALLY!) Reunite

By far the question I get asked the most is, “Are you still friends with Lauren?” For the longest time I would answer, “We are still friends, but we don’t really keep in touch.” That was the truth, but I also wondered if there was an issue between us that was unresolved. In part one of my two part talk with Lauren, I finally get to the bottom of it, plus so much more. Lauren and I went through something completely life-changing together, and when it was over we went our separate ways. Business, family, fame, life, everything that has happened since the show ended, and we’ve never talked about it. I don’t think I’ve ever had a more important catch up session. Lauren is a television personality, New York Times bestselling author, fashion designer and philanthropist. In 2009, she launched LC Lauren Conrad exclusively at Kohl’s. In 2013, she co founded The Little Market whose mission is to build sustainable partnerships with artisans around the world by connecting them with customers through an online marketplace and to empower women artisans to rise above poverty and support their families. AND, in August 2020, Lauren launched her beauty brand, Lauren Conrad Beauty. It is an eco-conscious brand that meets the desires of cosmetics consumers at a price point that everyone can enjoy without sacrificing quality. I attempted to up my eyeliner game with help from the eyeliner expert herself. We are getting into EVERYTHING. Hope you love! Visit JennyLife.com/WHIT to get a FREE quote right now. Staying Home With Whit | Sleep Expert, Alanna McGinn, Helps Us Handle Sonny’s Bad Sleep Habits

Sonny is really testing us when it comes to sleep. He is delaying bedtime and waking up way too early. We needed major help! Timmy and I had a Zoom call with our sleep expert, Alanna McGinn, for some advice and tools. Yes, having a Sleep Expert may sound nuts, but you guys, sleep is EVERYTHING! If we utilize experts for our mental and physical, why shouldn’t we for something we do for half of our lives?? That is a rhetorical question.  Alanna is the Founder and Sleep Consultant of Good Night Sleep Site, Parent Prep Educator, Stress Management Coach, Director for the International Association of Child Sleep Consultants (IACSC), and serves on the faculty of the Family Sleep Institute. She has helped us sleep train Sonny since he was born and is a true savior. Everything she tells us to do works. We stick to her rules and Sonny adjusts so naturally. It’s actually really crazy. I hope all you parents find this conversation helpful!! Staying Home With Whit | Black Lives Matter: Our Friends and Activists, Chid Liberty and Georgie Badiel-Liberty

It's easy to condemn the police officers who killed George Floyd. What has been more difficult is to recognize my role in systemic racism in our country. I am part of the system that fails to prosecute these crimes, demand police oversight, and invest in black-owned businesses. In the last week, I have felt an urge to do something but also felt afraid I would say the wrong thing or make it about me, or somehow fail to navigate these delicate waters in the right way. I decided the first step was to educate myself and have a discussion - Listen to people experiencing this and elevate their voices.  As suggested by a comment on my Instagram, any money I make from the ads on the podcast will go directly and entirely to the charities I put in my Black Lives Matter highlight. Ryan Manion Shares How Her Grief Gave Her A New And Powerful Purpose

Losing a family member or someone you love is the most devastating thing that can happen to a person. You are left with grief that you have absolutely no control over. I grieve for my dad every single day and think about him constantly. It is a pain I know I will have for the rest of my life. When you lose someone you love, your life changes immediately. Ryan Manion is helping others navigate their new lives of grief. She has dedicated her life to supporting our nation’s military, veterans, and families of fallen heroes. Michelle Kennedy Gives Moms Major Support And Friendships With Her App, Peanut!

I am always a little bit scared to get super vulnerable on social media, especially about my plights with motherhood. However, every time I do, I get such amazing and validating feedback from my followers. I was thrilled to learn that Michelle Kennedy created a larger platform for these meaningful motherhood conversations. In 2017, she launched Peanut, a “dating app” just for moms! This app connects women throughout the US and UK. (They have over 1 MILLION USERS!) It provides a safe space for conversation about tough experiences and an opportunity to meet/become friends with other moms. I think this entire concept is SO GENIUS. It can be hard to make friends as an adult and especially hard to make fellow “mom friends.” During this episode, we discuss the journey of the app’s creation as well as how important it is to not be afraid to discuss heavy issues…you never know who you might impact. Catt Sadler Shares Why She Didn’t Settle For Less And The Importance Of Fighting For What You Deserve

It is an inspiring time for women to reach infinite possibilities and I am here for it. . Over the past few years, the influence of the #MeToo and Times Up movements started to shed light on inappropriate sexual behavior in the workplace. In addition to this, women started speaking out for equal pay. There are too many cases where women perform the exact same jobs as men and get paid MUCH less. Catt Sadler (host of Naked With Catt Sadler) is someone who is speaking out for the fight for equal pay. She is a three-time Emmy-winning journalist with twenty years on-air experience. She is well renowned for her work on E! Entertainment where she spent more than a decade contributing to E! News, E! News Weekend, Daily Pop, Live From E! and a myriad of network specials. After learning that her male counterpart at E! News was making more than double her salary (for the same position!), she decided to use her platform to speak in favor of equal pay. In this episode, Catt shares her story about her experience at E! including her decision to leave the network. Women are more than deserving to earn as much as men. Dr. Sarah E. Hill Gives Us The 411 On The Birth Control Pill

I think it is safe to say that the majority of women in the United States are on some form of birth control. I was told to start taking the birth control pill when I was 18 years old for acne. I know I am not the only one who’s relationship with birth control started that way. I had an incredible conversation with Sarah E. Hill, PHD all about the birth control pill and the effects it has on women’s brains and hormones. Dr. Hill, a research psychologist and professor who studies health, relationships, and other forms of social behavior using the super-generative theoretical tools available from the evolutionary sciences.  Dr. Hill shares her extensive research on birth control in her new book This is Your Brain on Birth Control. This book provides an even-handed, science-based understanding of who women are, both on and off the pill. It’s so amazing that she is getting answers to questions that women deserve to know and have trouble getting.
