TODAY: Bob Weide, American screenwriter, producer, and director, whose career spans from documentary filmmaking to comedy TV screenwriting. His debut documentary film, The Marx Brothers In a Nutshell, received acclaim from PBS viewers and allowed him to continue his career in documentary filmmaking, where his subjects included an A-List of other famous comedians such as Woody Allen and Lenny Bruce. Meanwhile, he served as principal director and executive producer for Curb your Enthusiasm for 5 seasons, a position for which he would receive an Emmy award in its third season. Recently, he served as the director and writer for the British comedy series Mr. Sloane.
