Colts Cast: Discussing Howard Mudd's impact on Colts' OL; Latest Colts news

By SB Nation

As the Indianapolis Colts kick off OTAs we'll begin to see little bits and pieces of how this team will come together in the coming season. Today, Zach Hicks joins Matt Danely to discuss Howard Mudd, his relationship with Chris Strausser, and their impact and technique that will shape the team's offensive line. Mudd and Strausser, have a past, their philosophies go hand in hand, and there should be great deal of interest in how different the approach to their blocking schemes will take hold with this unit. Last season the Colts' OL was not only a surprise to most onlookers and fans alike, but they were quietly one of the best units in all of football as well. The team moved on from Dave Deguglielmo despite their success, but they have quite literally acquired two legends in their own rite to take the reins of this athletic and disciplined group of blockers. Zach discusses how Braden Smith should fare in his second year at RT, attempt to figure out if he'll improve or struggle to find his way with a new approach, and the two talk about the rest of the line as well as they feel the depth has improved along with the coaching along the position. Additionally, Matt and Zach speak to the latest Colts' news as well including, some of the latest discussion surrounding OTAs, the Colts' tight end room and its viability in 2019, as well as why the signing of Chad Kelly isn't anything to get worked up about in any way, and some discussion into the Colts' ability to retain their players as well as their front office talent into the future.
