Colts Cast: Brissett comes through, defense stands up to get Colts to 2-1

By SB Nation

The Indianapolis Colts came into their home opener being looked at as a bit of a wild card team throughout the national audience. The left Week 3 a 2-1 team that controlled large portions of the game and featured their quarterback rising to the occasion. The Colts only had 7 drives throughout the entire game and had 5 of those 7 possessions last at least 9 plays. Jacoby Brissett was excellent, the defense came through when they had to, and several players had excellent games, both, statistically as well as in a somewhat quiet manner.  Anthony Walker, Kenny Moore, Bobby Okereke, Quincy Wilson, the offensive line, Nyheim Hines and the list goes on. All of these guys played their butts off in route to the team's second win of the season.  The Colts second half is being a bit misconstrued as a bad half simply because they didn't put a lot of points on the board. That's not the case and we'll talk about why that is. We'll also discuss what issues the Colts still have going forward, as well as how the trickle down from front office, to coach, the rest of the staff, and all through the roster is playing a major role in the team's success.  The Colts are in a much better position than most have guessed they'd be at this point in the year, and the rest of the schedule is looking like the Colts could actually do some damage as it progresses. It's a great time to be a Colts fan despite all that the team has been through so far. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices
