- We had some listener thoughts this past week: Dave Kanyan, Dumbing it Down With Dave

"You asked for ideas concerning Spreaker live.

Here are ideas and comments quickly off the top of my head. I've been listening regularly since a few episodes before Alex came on board.

First of all the combination of you and Alex is excellent. I like the fact that the two of you are on either end of the sound spectrum so it is very easy to tell you apart. There are many shows I listen to that I have a hard time telling who's who and that's important. You both also have different personalities. Alex is definitely the one who is capable of getting lit up (angry/excited) on air. Rob is almost always cool calm and collected. Perfect combo.

To get technical I don't think "Spreaker Live show" is the best title for what you guys are doing. First of all Rob, you mentioned last week that most people do not listen to this show live. Most listen to it on demand. When I hear or see the word "LIVE" I think Saturday night LIVE or some sort of entertainment show.

It's not that I don't think you guys aren't entertaining, but I don't think that is the primary reason that this show exists. "LIVE" should be saved for a show that Spreaker produces that has special guests from the entertainment world and so on.

Your show is a HELP show. A SUPPORT show. A TIPS and IDEAS show. I know this is technical but I think it is important. “Spreaker Support LIVE” is a decent name. You know exactly what you are getting and people would probably be amazed that the Support department is going LIVE! Most people assume that it is very difficult to get in touch with ANY support dept. So consider that and play around with a name, Frankly Spreaker Support live says it all to me. And by all means considering producing a different Spreaker LIVE show with special guests from Spreaker podcasts, the entertainment world, politics, literary, music and so on!"

Let’s Dive into our main topic this week “Power of Podcast Community Networking”

- Roots of the beginning of podcasting started with strong community
- Podcasters are communicators and early in its history the whole community was podcasters
- Podcasters need to meet each other and network to create a strong industry and events like International Podcast Day events starting Thursday thru Friday are important for you to participate in and share.
- Podcasting is a word of mouth and sharing medium
- I get the most value from meeting other current and future podcasters at podcasting conferences and events all over the country. Even in Europe.
- Attend a local podcasting event in your city and also go if you can to the large events like Podcast Movement and many others.
