Both Redknapp and McAnuff praised Eddie Howe and feel he is getting all the big decisions right at the moment. Redknapp believes the momentum is with the Magpies and they are favourites to ensure a Champions League place ahead of both Manchester United and Tottenham.

There is also reaction from goal scorer Callum Wilson as well as Eddie Howe, who felt Newcastle were not at their best but were clinical in front of goal. Declan Rice spoke after the match too and admitted West Ham’s performance was nowhere near the standard it should be at, whilst David Moyes still feels he has the backing of the board despite the league position the Hammers find themselves in.
