Segment 1 - Trade review – We will review each trade, looking at their fantasy and baseball implication.
1.The Mets ship Max Scherzer and approximately $35 million to the Rangers for Luisangel Acuna. If I understand the math, the Rangers will pay $22.5 million for Scherzer this year and next. That’s $5.5 million this year and $17 million. That feels about right as baseballsavant is showing some natural aging, and a guy who’s better days are behind him.
a.Did this make sense for the Mets?
b.Is this enough for the Rangers to win the American League?
c.Luisangel Acuna breakdown.
2.The White Sox send Lance Lynn and Joe Kelly to the Dodgers. In return, they receive Trayce Thompson, Nick Nastrini, and Jordan Leasure.
a.Does this help the Dodgers?
b.I love Nick Nastrini, and we could see him up later this season. At worse, next year.

Segment 2 – Review of Weekend Games

Additional Questions:
1.Marco Luciano was a surprise call-up (at least for me) on Wednesday. He’s been hurt a lot and has only 269 plate appearances above A Ball. He has 40 home run potential long-term, but I don’t like the setup for this season. What say you?
2.Triston Casas is starting to figure this baseball thing out. He’s up to 15 home runs, hitting .253 with a .360 OBP. Hard hit rate is at 80%. Nice leverage at 15.1 degrees. He’s striking out too much at 25%, but that might be the player.
a.I’m considering him a 30/100 guy with a high OBP. Am I overvaluing him for the next year?
