When Mack Brown makes staff changes, the moves to fill vacancies comes quickly and on Friday, former Georgia Tech head coach Geoff Collins was officially announced as North Carolina’s new defensive coordinator. Collins, with previous stints as DC at Mississippi State and Florida, takes over for Gene Chizik and will bring a vastly different approach to that side of the ball for the Heels.
